Viewing sex work as something that only happens by men to women is a patriarchal framework borne of the view of femininity as something sacred and fragile. Rentboys exist. Gigolos exist. There are male sex workers. There are female clients. There are male clients who hire male sex workers.

Many sex workers view their options for employment and actively decide that they would prefer sex work to other forms of labor. You are saying that they are being raped, because economic incentives require they perform labor. In what way is this not saying that they choose to be raped?

To say that "the patriarchal position is pro-sex work" when every conservative position on the subject is the criminalization of sex work is absolutely fucking delusional and not something that holds up under scrutiny. The patriarchal position is that sex work is a uniquely evil form of labor.
