I have had an article on Autechre and format obsolescence in pre-publication purgatory for like 15 months. It's about to see the light of day (in a German popular music studies journal). I don't know how anybody puts up with this process but I probably have ADHD so maybe It's a me problem. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The concrete poetry handiwork of @mrprudence.bsky.social arrived today. HOLO very proudly produced Paul's artist book interpretation of our archives (every word we have published). It is delightful–in a Ballardian sense—and will be available for purchase when we launch our revamped site in July.

Marking was always kind of horrible, but post-ChatGPT it's a joyless exercise. My rules haven't kept up with how students are using these tools, and now I just feel like a cop—looking at final projects trying to decide which of the most egregious violators get 'retired.'

I know what he is saying here (and I *love* his notion of bygone punk and DIY scenes as the antidote to what he is diagnosing) but this moment reads weirdly. Also: ‘American pointing at cultural formations in Asia and saying ‘Ah-ha!’ as if discovering solution to self-created problem.’
