I applied to be a mentor of teacher mentors. It’s a part time thing. We shall see what the cards hold. The job expectations are similar to what I’ve already done. I built a teacher-student mentor program from scratch. But I did that all for free. This job actually has a stipend.

Went to Science training today and couldn’t keep my mouth shut. Just passionate about actual learning. We adopted OpenSciEd and the district wants us to end a unit at the end of a qtr. I cannot disagree more with this idea.

I've been trying #ungrading in my smaller classes for a few years. Students are less stressed and more motivated. More freedom to take the class where the students want (these are upper-level college/grad electives). It's about learning not competition. Hard to imagine going back.
