We believe when communities thrive, nature will too. The future of Gorongosa Park and our planet starts with people—helping farmers grow cash crops, increasing access to education, healthcare, clean water; creating economic opportunities that support people and ecosystems for everyone.

The balance is back. Lions, leopards, hyenas, painted wolves and jackals—Gorongosa’s top hunters—are doing what they do best: restoring the natural rhythm of the ecosystem. They keep herds healthy, shape the landscape, and help life return to where it belongs.

Today (April 7) we celebrate strength, legacy and unstoppable women. Josina Machel was a leader in the fight for #Mozambican independence. More than a symbol, she mobilized women and insisted their freedom was inseparable from national liberation. She died in 1971 at age 25.
