Meet Luis Mabuio! Luis holds a degree in Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering and has been part of the Paleo-Primate Project Gorongosa since 2025. This year, Luis will be returning to Gorongosa to study baboon responses to the presence of animal carcasses using camera traps.

Meet Palmira Machai! Palmira is a final-year Anthropology student at Eduardo Mondlane University. In 2024, she participated in the Paleo-Primate Gorongosa Project field school, an experience that inspired her to become a primatologist.

Meet Delson Bazo! Delson is a student of Archaeology at Eduardo Mondlane University. His research focuses on lithic tools and what they reveal about past human behavior. He has been part of the PPPG since 2023, and participated in the excavation of cave site TA5 in 2025.

Meet Ana Gledis! 📢 Following years of remarkable conservation work in Mozambique, Ana Gledis da Conceição is now pursuing a PhD in Biosciences at the University of Coimbra with a 4-year FCT Portugal scholarship. Her PhD is supervised by Dr René Bobe, Dr Joana Alves, and Dr Frederico Tátá.
