I've not posted on BlueSky for 6 months. But John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13 is on Freeview TV - and that feels like a legitimate reason to share news with the world.

Just finished Robocop: Rogue City (which was excellent), so obviously I had to get me some Robocop in. The game takes place between Robocop 2 and 3. Ive watched the second entry fairly recently, so yeah, I'm going in to a rewatch of the third. I know what I've signed up for. #filmsky

When I stupidly started my year with all 7 (SEVEN) Police Academy movies, my @letterboxd.social Most Watched actor stats were ruined. I've not purposely sought to break this list. Just watch what I watch over the year and see if anyone can compete.

It's taken me over a year to finally dip, but my sister got me a voucher for Christmas - so let's do this. #NowPlaying ROBOCOP: ROGUE CITY.

Just revisited Gremlins 2 for the first time this century I reckon... And I was delighted to find out it takes place in the Breaking Bad universe.

"10 Hidden Gems from the 70s" This should be good... "Number 10, The Last of the Sheila". This is already a 5 star video. youtu.be/-t95AVrPPpo?...

Oh yeah, that's excellent news - as long as it's the directors cut.

As we've covered in many episodes, remakes of great films can also be great. That said, there really aren't many remakes of bad films that are poorly executed. Any suggestions?

Been thinking about the @letterboxd.social 2024 year in review that will drop in January and who the most watched actor/actress will be. Zendaya is a shoe in for actress, having been in the top two most popular films (Dune Part II and Challengers). But actor? I'm betting it's a Dune Part II star.

This is amazing. A recent (uploaded 2 months ago) interview with the legend that is Peter Hyams. youtu.be/vt34SvMc31o?... Talks about his early work, writing his first script, working with the stars he worked with, and much more. What a pre Christmas treat this is.

After trying my best to get on with THE HAPPENING, and not even admiring it's attempt at being a 1950s B-movie... I need a cleanse. And what better than a Hyams / JCVD collaboration that I've never seen. #NowWatching ENEMIES CLOSER #FilmSky

After an hour of hardware troubleshooting a HDMI port, which turned out the fix was flicking a setting off and on again, I'm now rewatching this bad boy. Was quite the experience in the cinema last year and delighted to have the disc. Let's go full Kaiju. #NowWatching GODZILLA MINUS ONE #filmsky

On the one hand, the new Superman trailer looks decent and I certainly back James Gunn. But I can't help but feel big fatigue from seeing these superhero films. Maybe I'll be more hyped come the summer, we shall see.

Something a bit different, watching #TheShowdown #Golf This is mad so far. Brooks, Scottie, and Rory all wearing Nike. Bryson rocking his Reebok Crushers gear. When I say gear, I mean a massive Arsene Wenger style coat.

One thing I do give Prime credit for: they have a far better algorithm than Netflix - and a better selection of back catalogue films. E.g: Mid 2000s thriller, I presume about a (then) modern cell phone, starring W H. Macy, and c90 minutes? #NowWatching CELLULAR #filmsky

Who's playing Indiana Jones and The Great Circle? It's either: - My game of the year - the best game ever based on a movie/franchise - or just the best game of all time It's seriously fantastic, particularly for Indiana Jones fans. And those that like to beat up Nazi's and fascists.
