Sanders Lauture @golf1052.com · 25/09/2026All the posturing from councilmembers on the budget is funny because they literally can just change it. It's funny but also sad. They're just doing it for political brownie points. 071

Sanders Lauture @golf1052.com · 22/09/2026This is why they pushed it through before the election. They knew Harrell could lose and wanted to put themselves in the best position under a more favorable mayor. 1100

Sanders Lauture @golf1052.com · 22/09/2026It's just so telling the state of driver behavior in Seattle where this this bridge has a dislodged Toronto barrier seemingly once a month or every other month. These things are 1,680 pounds each! 2100
Sanders Lauture @golf1052.com · 21/09/2026I was just sad reading the article. NHJ clearly tried hard to make a difference for her daughter in those schools but it seemingly didn't matter. The only thing that did was moving her daughter to a better school. I think that says seemingly bleak things for individual families. 010

Sanders Lauture @golf1052.com · 11/09/2026Growing SPD to match Denver, SF, or Boston's officer numbers would grow SPD's budget to be anywhere from 31-39% of the bugdet (from 24%). Considering the budget deficit this would mean that the rest of the budget would need to shrink anywhere from 15-24%. Nearly a 25% cut is insane! 0102

Sanders Lauture @golf1052.com · 05/09/2026If Wilson had this kind of history the Seattle Times would be shouting this from the heavens. Kang shares ideology with the opinion board though so they don't care. 0336
Sanders Lauture @golf1052.com · 28/08/2026Note that the country is so safe that fights have to land in Cap-Haïtien rather than the capital because gangs control the main airport and shoot at planes. 010
Sanders Lauture @golf1052.com · 25/08/2026Is there a local news outlet that has gotten better on the ground coverage of the new bus lane than this? Put a TV crew on a 8 bus, ask Metro if drivers on the route feel like it's faster It seems like all they want to cover is theoretical complaints from car drivers. 1160
Sanders Lauture @golf1052.com · 25/08/2026Yeah Stuart Sloan directly reaching out to the old mayor trying to get the queer beach shutdown and the mayor entertaining the idea is definitely up there. 160
Sanders Lauture @golf1052.com · 15/08/2026Yeah it's actually insane. Harrell kept Diaz on for months longer than he should have stayed in the position because "he wanted to stand by him" and then Diaz sued the city anyway. Meanwhile Wilson relatively quickly got Barnes out after a fuckup with no suit. 031
Sanders Lauture @golf1052.com · 13/08/2026I do wonder if the AI code maximalists inspect the code frontier models produce. I literally use Opus 5 and Sol 5.6, all day, every day, at work and it still produces incorrect things sometimes. Letting incorrect info into a repo quickly becomes garbage in -> garbage out for future code. 020

Sanders Lauture @golf1052.com · 10/08/2026It would be ironic if in the quest for artificial general intelligence, instead of AIs maximizing "paperclips", it was select humans devoting as much energy and money as possible into the goal of AGI only to still never reach the goal. 130
