This is why we're friends. You get it. Just an absolutely wild way of phrasing that.

"Under their interpretation" is really triggering me. What interpretation would that be? The ultra-Orthodox one? The correct one? The halakhic one as understood by a score of generations of rabbi? This isn't "their interpretation." It was simply "the only interpretation" until the last hundred years

The way the NYT implies this is some sort of fringe belief is actually antisemitic, imo.

I really need more Jews to stand up and say that it is actually the longstanding (1000+ years) traditional and standard Jewish belief "that establishing a Jewish state before the Messiah’s arrival is forbidden." Stop hiding the contradiction of Zionism, it has been another golden calf.

I nearly won the lottery once. Then I decided to keep not playing the lottery, like I had always done up until that point. But if I had played, I could have picked the winning numbers and won.

It is unclear to me that Israel was in any way involved other than incidentally? Pilots getting into fights is definitely that happens. Usually not while flying but...

Goldstein (still not a pseudonym) @goldstein.latinsky.app · 1h
My conspiracy theory is that the passengers were not nearly as involved as Israel's government is making them out to be. I definitely believe the pilots got into a fight and the plane rapidly descended. I am more dubious about "the passengers forced open the cockpit door", etc.

I am certainly not an expert in this subject, but I have at least one very vivid memory of what it is like to be in a plane that suddenly rapidly descends and it did not involve my feet touching the ground. That was kinda the point, to simulate zero g.

I saw the tail. Definitely damage. I am not disputing that a descent occurred. I just do not understand how the passengers in the video were walking to the cockpit if the plane was actively nosediving.

I am not a lawyer so here is my take: everyone who does something I don't like bears individual responsibility. Anytime I do something other people don't like, its because I'm a smol bean and society is at fault. This is a clear and consistent standard that can be easily applied in every scenario.

Y'all don't understand how this is legitimately seen as a huge problem for DC folk. DC culture absolutely forbids anyone having to live with the consequences of their actions. You are absolutely not supposed to harangue politicians even if they sign laws that will kill you.
