I don't care if the homeless person we house or the refugee person we welcome is a "good investment". Humanity is not a business. I just want as many HUMAN BEINGS to be warm, happy, safe and healthy as possible. Wrap that up in whatever political affilliation you care too, it's how we should […]

So many things we in the US tolerate from our government and society are infuriating. Homelessness. Medical debt. Student debt. Discrimination in all its forms. The constant wars of aggression, the meddling in the affairs of other countries. The ideal of a "government of the people, by the […]

The recent destruction of Amazon and Yandex datacenters by Iran and Ukraine, respectively, should disabuse anyone of thinking that “the cloud” is fail-proof storage. Best make sure you have on-site backups of all those family photos!

With the war's popularity plummeting and few strategic gains, an expert warned that "the administration is operating on borrowed time."

I’m curious how they imagined this landing
A TEMU add from YouTube. The scene is a futuristic cityscape as seen from the height of its skyscrapers, drawn in comic book style. Over this huge white letters proclaim, “TEMU UNITED STATES CLEARANCE EVERYTHING MUST GO!” The text is reminiscent of the signs that go up on bankrupt shops that are being liquidated.

It would behoove progressive and socialist candidates to find a fundraising platform that is not ActBlue. At the end of the day ActBlue is a machine built by and for the Democratic establishment, and that gives me pause when considering contributing to candidates that use it.

Winning Providence w/ Ben Shanahan
Featuring Ben Shanahan, the architect of socialist David Morales’ victorious campaign to be the Democratic nominee for mayor of Providence, Rhode Island. The Providence left ran a slate of left-wing candidates that not only elected Morales but also swept every single contested city council seat on a platform of capping the rent and building social housing.
