Some spooky shenanigans went down at a local Halloween fair I’ve never gone to before. I had no idea what to expect, but what it ended up being was very fun and very Spoopy. 😝

I really, REALLY enjoyed Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil. It didn’t adapt anything directly, but I have never seen a movie more accurately encompass in its ENTIRETY the feeling of PLAYING a horror game. The panic, the resource management. The reactions. Bryan is great to follow. Want to see it again!

I love Buddy, yes I do. Casper Kelly, I want to make something as cool as you. (It doesn’t really fit the tune!) Positively NAILS the 90s children’s show aesthetic and is so, so much more than “haha evil Barney”. Creative, colourful, emotional, full of wonderful effects and design and passion. 💜

I just saw Coyote vs Acme. I can’t believe this movie, in a FINISHED STATE, was almost COMPLETELY DISCARDED BY THE STUDIO. 😭 Thankfully, this story has a happy ending. I had a blast and so did my Looney Tunes (and especially Wile E) loving dad who said “it was like seeing old friends”. 🥹

A doodle of Wile E. Coyote from memory so I may be missing some details! 😅

Happy Halloween Horror Nights season. I hope everyone has an amazing time in the fog. I’m really excited H.R. Bloodengutz is back. Hopefully I can finally meet him, but until then, everyone be spooky, respectful and respectfully spooky!

Should I start making random comics again?? I don’t really have ideas. But making things…I want to do that again.

Yesterday was a pretty crazy day. I went to African Lion Safari for the first time (despite my parents going there as KIDS), and it was pretty great! The Butterfly Conservatory for the second time (I love bugs so much and I love it here) and Brazilian BBQ! It was a long, full day. I brought friends.

Also, Spider-Man Brand New Day was great. I won’t spoil anything here, but…for some reason the theatre I went to had Spider-Man flanking the washrooms. The two genders. Spider-Man and Spider-Man.

Today I had Korean BBQ for the first time. I almost set myself on fire several times and they heard me go “waaa” and came to help me. 😅 (I gave a very big tip for all the help) I got better over the course of the meal but it was still pretty scary! I had a lot of friends with me to help, too. 🥹

I recently had a foodventure and tried some Indian food I’ve never had. ☺️ It was far away, but worth getting there! Of course, I brought some friends with me who might enjoy it…

I know there’s no “real reason” to keep making Toy Story sequels, but they really are making sure every single one is a window to a world with a story worth telling. I applaud Pixar for that. Also…technology is for connecting. 🥹 Now Bobo wants to crash a wedding. 😝

I did not think ‘A Rhyme In Time” by @rpweston.bsky.social could get any better than just having Dullbert be a main character now, but then we get this. This is always what I have believed. All worlds, all people from them, equally real. Equally alive. Equally deserving of respect and love.

It is almost impossible to know where to start. Those moments, those words, those people, those feelings. Opening up, and choosing who to be. I can also second I have legitimately never cried this much in a theatre before, either. I am so, so glad I brought tissues. 😅

Still thinking about this note I found in the children’s section of the public library when I worked there back in 2018. This kid tried to warn us…

A picture of a library shelf with a small rolled up note on it. The note says “read this” in child’s handwriting.

A picture of the note unrolled. In the same child’s handwriting it reads “beware of the future!!”

One year ago today, Black Mirror season 7 came out. A show I already loved. Little did I know one of its new stories would be one of the most touching, reflective, and powerful stories I’ve seen in my life. Thank you to Cameron, the Throng, and ‘Plaything’…And consider this picture a preview. 👀💛

@rpweston.bsky.social is now posting a Zorgamazoo sequel weekly. I have loved this book for over 10 years now - a brilliant novel full of brilliant characters, all in full rhyme! And even better read aloud as this sequel now is, fully voice acted! I can’t believe Dullbert is actually back too.

Katrina Katrell catching Dullbert after he crashes his UFO (his helmet is on the ground beside him; it came off in the crash)

Dullbert as he appears in his daily life on Graybalon-Four, which has unfortunately been interrupted JUST AS HE GOT BACK by the arrival of swole alien lizards (I’m not kidding! Find out what’s going on by listening to A Rhyme In Time!
