I've been updating my bibliography lately, and it's kind of incredible how much some of the ol' Vertical novels are going for. Hundreds of dollars for a single paperback? I'm weirdly proud.

I'm usually not a horror person, but I've played some Backrooms games and have to admit that I want to see the "Backrooms" movie coming out. I think it's scratching that toddler-level itch of "ooooh I know what comes next" and maybe that makes it less scary.

The copyright pages on The Power Fantasy (Image Comics) are something else. 13 languages on one page; they're like Rosetta Stones. And the logos? I love it. Are all Image comics like this?? I'd provide a visual but the irony of posting a copyright page is too thick for me.

The Kindle Scribe is underrated as a digital sketchbook. No zoom function, only one "color," few tools -- these sound like cons, but it's nice to have a digital device that actually sets limitations. And also it carries books!

Saw "Hoppers" tonight and if I had to dumb it down to whether I liked it or not, I'd say it just squeaks over the "liked it" line. Usually I think Disney and Pixar films are over-processed, and I'm kinda glad this one feels a little more natural.

I'm retouching a manga where the author decided to hand-letter something. Later in the chapter, the author changed their mind and switched to live type. Should I stay true (do what the author did), or stay consistent (make everything either hand-drawn or live type)? There's no right answer.
