Here are some sample pages from our release of Star Clock Liddell~ Now that the entire series is out, I'm very curious about peoples' impressions of the work. Especially for those who have read through the ending (volume 3)!

Unfortunately we're on the 'north side' so it's still a significant piece of travel which'd almost certainly more than offset the difference in fees between them and ECCC but I'll keep it in mind!

110

Glacier Bay Books @glacierbaybooks.com · 30/09/2026

I'd love to be able to have another good local show since it would be very easy for me to do ECCC relative to other shows, but sadly I just don't see it working out for us as it is now. Maybe I'll be proven wrong, I'd love that!

Glacier Bay Books @glacierbaybooks.com · 30/09/2026

Thank you, I'm not sure so much that we're taking a stance against ECCC (I'm not aware of a reason to do so either!) but just the reality that I don't think it's a show that makes sense for us to do.

111

Glacier Bay Books @glacierbaybooks.com · 29/09/2026

After further reflection, in the end I decided against attending ECCC again. We will be at other shows in Seattle, so hope to see folks there instead.

Glacier Bay Books @glacierbaybooks.com · 26/09/2026

Another data point is that... I don't know that any other publishers attend. Certainly not any small ones. When I exhibited as part of their small press series, I was literally the only publisher there. And it seems other presses declined entirely, or tried it out for 1 year before but didn't return

130

Glacier Bay Books @glacierbaybooks.com · 26/09/2026

We're local now so it's a little tempting, but... our sales at the time were definitely bad, it was rather underwhelming from that perspective. And the full vendor booths are really expensive. Also the way it's been handled, that they've jettisoned the small press program entirely, feels frustrating

130

Glacier Bay Books @glacierbaybooks.com · 26/09/2026

interested in feedback from artists and other publishers, is it worth exhibiting at ECCC (Emerald City Comic Con) ? We attended two years ago as part of their small press program which they have since discontinued, so if we did go again it'd have to be with a full vendor booth ($$$).

We're glad JD asked. We are OF COURSE building a web store with a reader+cart and it's next! (Roadmap is on sweetshop.app). Take solace our processing fees are at 15% for now on  and Google, and we hope to get the web store out before that changes.

"within the week" - a few things have happened since then. And the original timeline got somewhat derailed. But I have not forgotten. An important announcements coming soon. Just busy putting everything in order... please wait a little bit longer.

As part of this process, we're working on overhauling the GBB digital catalog this fall to update it and add more of our releases from the last couple years, where available. These will make their way onto the GBB webshop and over time, potentially onto partner platforms as well.

Je lis septembre 2023 et donc Give Her Back To Me de Hana Chatani sorti chez Glacier Bay Books. Une histoire familiale composée de liens féminins autour d'un miroir et d'une disparition. C'est un récit fantastique court en n&b qui m'a bcp plu.

I cannot be left to my own devices at events. My wallet will regret this, but my heart will not - support small press and independent creators!

20 comics, 3 TTRPGs, an oracle deck, a hat given for volunteering and a t-shirt are proof that Adam cannot be trusted at SPX and related events.

This is pretty fucking wild. I had assumed in a worst case scenario he would target blue zip codes and toss ballots based on technicalities but this is even worse than I imagined.

Not only is this system astonishingly untested, USPS has simultaneously implemented an
impracticable zero percent failure rate.
13 When ballots are submitted to USPS in large-volume
batches, if any one ballot in the batch cannot be verified against the Portal, all ballots in that
batch will be rejected. For example, if a state election official brings a batch of 10,000 ballots to
USPS and USPS is unable to match just one of those ballots against the Portal – because, for
example, someone has recently changed their name after marriage or they’ve moved – then
USPS would refuse to mail the remaining 9,999 ballots as well. As the whistleblower notes,

I’ll go into more detail then, but in the meantime I just wanted to mention that in June I shipped out all the Kickstarter pledges that were available to ship based on what stock had arrived from the printer, as soon as it was possible to.
