Hard luck England, congrats Tonga. We were well beaten in the end, but the soft penalty to Tonga at 10-6 was a real momentum changer. The completely ridiculous tournament format means we are as good as out after just one game! Only in rugby league. 😒 #RLWC #ENG

After yesterday I'm dropping Wirtz from my fantasy team. I'm desperate for him to succeed as he seems a great lad and never stops trying, but I'm not sure he's robust enough for the PL. Also needs a bit more 'dog' in him, but you can say that for all of the team. #LFC #YNWA

Yeah, that's how I saw it, but the problem of having too many midfielders who want to get forward cost us - again - and don't get me started on the full-backs! I still have some hope that Kerkez can improve, but Frimpong is a Championship player. Nice lad, but not good enough.

I really want the lad to succeed, but I do fear for him. Technically gifted yes, but I wonder if he's got enough 'dog' in him to counterbalance his relative lack of size in the unforgiving EPL.

Exactly. I don't think there's anything we can do to stop the tide. Just watch from afar and hope we don't get royally screwed. It happened before with Hicks and Gillett, and look at what the Glazers are doing to Man Utd. The other option is state owned, which is even more unpalatable. 😒
