Killed. NSF’s SBE was killed, in violation of law. The President does not have the power to choose to kill programs at a whim by defunding them. The imperial presidency was a mistake and we are in a separation of powers constitutional crisis.

Hmmm, the similarity between Hitler's views and Carlson's views would put Carlson in Nazi territory, wouldn't it? Little wonder he's not happy with the outcome of WWII.

Trump conjured up a problem that didn't exist and is claiming credit for its solution. This is typical of his approach to "problem-solving" though it's hard to know if he believes he's clever or he's senile now. Could be both, I suppose.

I think prosecutors could have a field day with both Kushner and Witkoff once the White House and DOJ have been thoroughly fumigated and the Trump stench gone.

It appears to me the bloom is off the rose. No movement lasts forever but Trump's MAGA con has been especially brief. I have little doubt that almost everybody has grown tired of his whining and narcissism. Plus he's extremely short on accomplishments that benefit the American people.

Prosecutions are gonna be an extra uphill climb given that he plans on just preemptively pardoning a slate of people and officials so it falls to local and state prosecutors where federal pardons don’t just cut it, but they’re made v difficult in those situations. However, some prosecutors…

I'm delighted that the GOP is having to spend a lot more time and money in defending their deep-red states than they expected. The tide may be turning against Republicans for their love affair with Donald Trump.

It's scary that Trump may be depending more heavily on Grok for advice than his human advisors. That could be the reason for many of Trump's inexplicable actions and why they blow up in his face.

We in the US have a long way to go toward ensuring the pet food we give our pets is actually healthy for them and not dangerous. Since pet food companies aren't doing it, we need to lean on Congress to make them do it. www.cnn.com/2026/10/02/h...

If Trump refuses to listen to the advisors he brought on board, then he should have no advisors at all. No one should work for such a "leader." If he refuses to listen to voters, he can't stay in office because he works for them. He's got the relationship backwards if he thinks it's the other way.

Impeaching Vought would be high on my list in a house or senate with Democrats in charge. Congress has to chisel in stone that the executive branch isn't free to do whatever it wants to do. For some reason, the Constitution no longer has that force.

Trump absolutely does not care if it's illegal since SCOTUS gave him immunity from everything. However, his staff has no such immunity and the next administration may go after all of them if Trump doesn't pardon them.

If the past is any predictor of the future, Donalds will oblige and deliver on the returns expected from him by his donors. Billionaires didn't get rich by handing out money without a quid pro quo. We need a law to force these QPQs to be reported and disclosed.
