Electronic Arts. Give me Dragon Age Veilguard DLC and my wallet is yours!! I will begrudgingly become a yearly FIFA MADDEN buyer. ANYTHING. PLEASE.

#veilguardspoliers Opens door in final act Morrigan: a word? Me: oh no I’ve seen this before what kind of deal are you about to—Oh just the best rune in the game? You sure you don’t wanna…😏

Ciri looks just fine. Stellar even. I’m just sad we won’t be hearing from FemHawke :(

B - DA2. Abilities are streamlined but you still level up stats. Your team’s unique abilities add a lot of flavor to combat. Tactics system. Aggro management 💯 “But the enemies spawn on you in waves” as if enemies having the ability to gank your backline forcing you to reposition is a bad thing??

#veilguardspoilers The Crows gotta be the dumbest mfs in Thedas. Wdym “Oh nooo it was Ivenci the whooole time!” “Oh noooo it was Illario the whooole time!” Maybe these games have made me cynical but the second I saw those two I was like yeah they’re in on EVERYTHING

“All of southern Thedas was destroyed there can’t be any more sequels and our choices never mattered” Is such an illiterate take? They all go to Skyhold. Like EVERYONE is there. The antics that would ensue given certain worldstates…

Back in 2020 I hoped and prayed Dragon Age’s combat would have a touch of Genshin Impact character switch mechanics. Honestly the puzzles and environmental interactions could have benefited from GI’s style as well. I guess all we get is the wisps and the menu UI

Veiljumpers catch a bad rap for being fodder but honestly the Antivan Crows spend the entire game getting destroyed and falling for the most obvious villainous plots imaginable

000

Ghost of Ostagar @ghostofostagar.bsky.social · 27/11/2024

Yeah now I’m stuck wondering if Rook is a real person? Bc I’ve noticed Rook isn’t essential to the plot and is rarely mentioned in the codex either?

Ghost of Ostagar @ghostofostagar.bsky.social · 27/11/2024

I noticed him only chiming in at the tail end of conversations but THE Varric Tethras not getting an invite to Lighthouse book club solidified it to me

The best part was talking to Mythal in the fade. Really captured the DA vibe for me 😌 Including bards as npc’s playing Inquisition bangers is nice but I’d have commissioned some new songs and included a music box in the Lighthouse

CHARACTERS - DAY ONE: Morrigan Morrigan began, waaaay back, as a bit of Morgan le Fey (hence the Dark Ritual) mixed with Delirium from Sandman. The Delirium elements subsided into more of a weird cadence of speech as my idea of Morrigan solidified - more cynical, wanting to connect but unable to. 🧵

Morrigan's original appearance in DAO. I can't help but look back on this and balk at the old graphics, but at the time I was *enamoured*.

The DAI version of Morrigan - so awesome.

I remember pleading with the artists: "If we put her in the Orlais plot, can we give her a dress?! PLEASE PLEASE" It almost didn't happen.

Some of the first art we put out for Morrigan. I remember seeing this and asking "why does she look so YOUNG?" - that's when I learned how parts of the team thought she was, like, 18. The idea persisted for some time.
