You can apologize but that alone is not reverting it back to how it was before.

Went to Ikea (with financial help from a friend) to get a better shelf, came home, found out the shelf did not have any screws in the packaging. I have never been so close to crying over a missing bag of screws. This day is all kinds of fucked up.

Put away a desk shelf that annoyed me just do find out that the one I wanted to use instead does not fit XD

This is why digital art is good for me. I found a whole box of dried up gouache I put away to keep it safe and I just forgot I owned it. It was just there and now it is not working anymore because I forget things exist the moment I put things away.

Reorganizing and cleaning up my desk bcs I am majorly unhappy and figuring out what works for my adhd ass is so hard. I need stuff to be visible because I will forget I own specific art supplies but I also need space for actual drawing and for it to not be cluttered bcs it will make me go antsy.

I love watching sketchbook tour videos bcs some people get obsessed with the weirdest things and it is very wholesome watching a person talk about how they filled a full sketchbook with drawings of one niche animation movie character XD

I am losing my mind over some of these skins. The top is vacuum sealed and the bottom is shaped like he shat his pants. I know you wanted to go for a harem pant style look but that's not it chief.

i must not fear The Project

tumblr post by gailynovelry:
"The fastest way to accomplish The Project is to cease being afraid of The Project. The Project cannot maim you. The Project cannot kill you. The Project is more afraid of you than you are of it. It is okay if The Project turns out differently from how it was in your head, and it is okay if it has flaws. You are capable of engaging with The Project."

This tiny crab captured by Pedro Valencia of Blackwater Cozumel has me learning about crab life-cycles. Prepare for some vocabulary (& errors)! This is a swimming stage called a 'megalopa'. The furious tail structures moving a mile a minute are 'pleopods' or swimmerets. (📷: pedrovalenciam on IG)

When you watch a random youtube video and the person is saying something that connects with you so hard that you overthink wtf you are even doing with your art.

I've not dated or tried to date in the last three years and I don't miss it. A friend asked if I would say the experience turned me aro/ace and I don't think that is actually how these things work. But I am still very sure that i never want to deal with another person like this again.

getting personal but I completely missed that it was my being single anniversary. It has been three years, I think I am actually at a place where I can confidently say I am over it. I still have some things that bother me sometimes but I blame that I never got to have proper closure.

If you have a Gmail account, you need to read this. Google's AI now scans your emails and attachments, bank statements, tax files, medical letters, all of it. It turned on by default, and there's a class-action lawsuit over how. Here are 5 moves to shut it off, the switch is hidden in two places:

It is taking me forever to get some sketch down bcs it is a collab thing and I did not know when agreeing. So I can't go wild with the theme, I had my creativity cropped.

I agreed to a project and I am not enjoying myself, but it is too late to back out. I am really struggling with it Q_Q

lol, you think me, a person cutting their own hair with the only pair of sharp scissors they have, has the money for a pair of specialized scissors? XD

110

Lumen (babbling) @ghostlyopossum.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

Cut my hair with my fabric scissors bcs I can't afford a hairdresser but I also don't want to buzz it all off right now. It's good that I like to watch ppl work, I think I picked up enough from watching hair dressers to not look too terrible.

In a weird, unfocused headspace today. Not knowing what to focus on and what to do and feeling like a failure to not being able to just get things done. But then I looked over at the bread in waiting and the sun shining in and it made me feel weirdly calm.

Lumen (babbling) @ghostlyopossum.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

Oh, I just read it. Man, bums me out, kinda makes it hard to watch the videos now.

110

Lumen (babbling) @ghostlyopossum.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

Yeah, I don't know, it just feels kinda off. And I don't follow anybody on socials, I just noticed they were gone and looked at their bluesky and there it was. Don't even know if the channel itself said anything about it. It left a weird aftertaste.

111

Lumen (babbling) @ghostlyopossum.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

It makes me feel weirdly parasocial, that person wasn't the only reason why I watched but now that they are gone I can't watch the videos anymore bcs there was a change in energy. I'm just a lurker so it's not my place to ask for clarification but it feels so unresolved.

160

Lumen (babbling) @ghostlyopossum.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

I'm still kinda bummed out about changes in a youtube channel I liked to watch. I won't mention the name bcs blusky has no private accounts and the search function is too good.

Lads, I found some cheap paper at home that is dotted and that works well with the blacklettering pens, no feathering. So I want to do some small practice. Give me easy, short words and I will attempt to write them whenever I have time.

Nice one, haha. I really like the green sheen on this ink.

Lumen (babbling) @ghostlyopossum.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

Used some ink with sheen and I feel like it turned out nice enough.

Lumen (babbling) @ghostlyopossum.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

Okay the paper is still feathering a bit with the biggest size, but whatever. Have a wonky sword. I slipped on the d XD

Hhhhhchchhhhh heck yes I will need to write both of these!!!

I am, I will, you will all be so annoyed XD

110

Lumen (babbling) @ghostlyopossum.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

I always liked it but now that I am doing more traditional and sketcbook stuff it feels more viable to try and get better at it. An artist I follow recommended one of those blackletter pens for normal sketching which is why I got it. But now the lettering has its grip on me XD

Sacrificed some bristol board for now but I will need to get some better practicing paper. And yes I should try and start with proper practice but you know I had to try and do their names.

A picture of the name Willow and Douglas and some test letters written in blackletter calligraphy.
