"Reparations have been and always will be more than an apology and a paycheck." TRC will always mean structural / policy changes to include Indigenous voices at the top of government, and meaningful forward conversations about land back. It's Canada, we have more than enough of the latter. #TRC

Does anyone know of any historical or more modern examples of reparations being given by any form of government (outside of WW2)? Could be monetary, land back, structural changes, etc like the convo with a friend below. #reparations #landback #racism #oppression

100 companies are responsible for 71% of global emissions. They told YOU to recycle better while they polluted more. Don't fall for it. Hold systems accountable. #ClimateCrisis

"The love of money as a possession ... will be recognized for what it is, a somewhat disgusting morbidity, one of those semi-criminal, semi-pathological propensities which one hands over with a shudder to the specialists in mental disease." - John Maynard Keynes #HumanityInItsInfancy #MarketSociety

Billionaires shouldn’t exist. Trillionaires should be in jail. Time to stop the parasitic elites enriching themselves at everyone else’s expense

It's another entirely fucked up ploy where the President of the Narcissists and th Corrupt steal from the many, and a good reminder for the necessity to continually highlight, speak and move against a power that endures when our outrage against them "benumbs us". share.google/ku6aBxTWcOjP...

Whatever Trump Does Is Corrupt, but the Slush Fund Is the Worst of All
The president and the acting attorney general have pulled a heist on the American people. We can’t let it disappear into the pile of Trump outrages that benumb us.

(1/4) By now it’s unsurprising that Carney’s Liberals are openly anti-worker, repeatedly caving to corporate interests and violating the right to strike through Section 107 of the Canada Labour Code. www.thestar.com/politics/fed...

Regardless of political affiliation, the increasing collection of personal data by corps to up charge you is a ridiculous premise. Recent national news articles claim this is difficult to prove, so there should be no problem in us legislating proactively then. 😉 www.ndp.ca/ban-surveill...

My father was the first licensed eco-tour guide across much of the 50M ha wilderness in the proposed Nunavut Land Use Plan. In a CBC interview, his dying words on the declining animals pop: “I don’t know if they’ll ever come back …" With recent Liberal by-election victory, now it the time to act.

A bright spot in the news. Firmly believe that right-to-repair suits like these are an irreplaceable part of progressive environmental policy worldwide
