Des Plaines River Trail crossings Oakton St. The beg buttons activate 3 lights, the right and left are directly behind a sign. The cars don’t care either way, you still have to jump out into traffic in a “40 MPH” zone to get them to stop.

Bryn Mawr has bike lanes? I that between Elston and Northwest Highway daily and it’s some sort f the most dangerous streets I ride (even with school crossing guards)! I would kill for a bike lane ( if I’m not killed first, then name it after me) on Bryn Mawr.

My friends and family (none of them bike riders) give me shit for having an e-bike for commuting 17 miles each way. The e-bike is my strategy for living through my commute. I can ride through head winds and heat without the same effort as my acoustic bike. I do commute the acoustic once a week.

I also looked this map location up. Cycling through on LFT I can’t even fathom how the hell a car could make it to the water. Through the rails, over the concrete steps, about a 20’ fall to the LFT and then off the wall falling into the water. How fast they were going and how they survived is nuts.
