Sadly no. I'm attempting to be good. (Which is darn hard when so many actually good for you foods aren't good for you at the moment.)

Little apples and baby carrots ftw!

Remember in CA you can drop off your ballot at any polling station on Election Day. In my country we have drop boxes out in unlikely places starting mid-October - last year I found them not only at the library and county offices but the grocery store too. Please vote!

I am going to bed early so I can get up around 4:30am and get ready to head down to my precinct (get there by 6am) to work the election and make sure that everyone who comes in to vote has a fantastic experience. Hopefully when I get home around 9pm results will be coming in from the east coast.

Mayor Mamdani Announces “OPEN for Small Business,” Over 50 Reforms to Slash Red Tape

He hasn't gotten to grants (yet?) but he's helped small businesses with cutting a lot of red tape and started on getting some of the help they need. There's a lot that people want him to do and he seems to be making inroads in lots of directions in quick succession. www.youtube.com/live/XrSVeNy...

I'd bet a vast majority of those jobs added were because Spirit Halloween opened up in a bunch of locations...

There's an hour between the two posts so pretty sure we can assume that he got an earful in those 60 minutes and had to start back peddling... it was a all just a joke!

I remember that night. I won tickets to see a band I loved and no one would go with because they were staying home to watch the show. Which was syndicated. AND they all had VCR's. I went alone, had a fantastic time and was salty about Next Gen for the next seven years. Yep, I can sure hold a grudge.

When I went to the 60th anniversary Star Trek movie thing one of the employees said he was more of a SW guy. I was like you’d rather live in generally awful conditions under a fascist regime than peacefully explore and learn about new worlds in a damn fine starship? He shrugged. Love SW but really?!

Ben Elton's first play back in 1990, Gasping, was all about this. It's a satire on big business, the media and product exploitation. "Designer air proves to be the marketing phenomenon of the decade... the world is starting to gasp, and only the biggest suckers survive."

I completely agree. From what I can find, it seems over the last 10 years, the House has averaged about 162 days in session per year. That's under both parties so, yeah, they need accountability.

I went to the movies on Star Trek Day - watched the first 4 movies on the big screen again. With the episodes it made for a long day (13 hrs) but heaps of nostalgic fun. The next day I went back to the same theater to watch MST3K. The staff gave me the side-eye. #LetterboxdFriday. #LastFourWatched

I work as a Provisional Ballot Clerk in my precinct. I make sure voters have their ballot receipt and a print out provided by the county elections office with all of the information they could need to check on their ballot to ensure it's been counted and what to do if they have further questions.

Not a spoiler, but if you're like me (and we know you are) it bugs you when you're watching a movie and you think 'I know that guy from somewhere'. Well, one of the "stars" from "Sting of Death" was also in "Wild Rebels" as Jeeter. Bravo @rifftrax.com! Huge fun seeing #mst3k on the big screen.

Remember this the next time someone shares an AI created image or video and says something like "I know it's AI but..." There is no but. It's all disingenuous and it all needs to be pushed back against.

I took my Chevy Spark to the shop - the check engine light came on with 2 codes both for the transmission. Turns out they were both because of a leak; it needed to have a new gasket. Went to pick it up and he told me the key was on the seat, no charge because it was an easy fix. Still flabbergasted.

I'm a poll worker and the team for our precinct have been talking about this. It's unlikely that we'll have trouble at our little polling station in Nor Cal but the little old ladies I work with are prepared to make sure everyone who comes in to vote, gets to do so. (They can be super intimidating.)
