This is how I ended up w/my cat. The owners tried to dump him at a Cat colony in Brooklyn NY. He is def NOT a street cat and was completely traumatized. My friend found him when she went to feed the colony and rescued him. It took him about a year for his PTSD to abate. Still can’t be alone for long

I was reading the story expecting to hear that by some miracle this 92 year-old man had survived and then to discover no he died. The officer was not charged with murder. He was charged with nothing. This man had dementia and was holding a butter knife, he was in a wheelchair, an amputee w/one leg.

Yes I agree. I know regular police training is only a few months (22 weeks in MA) but most of these thugs haven't even done THAT. DHS says iCe=Basic law enforcement training, (56 days +28 on the job). Plus in some cases, Spanish training? I don't believe this info is accurate. Accurate= 6.5 wks?

Also I would add that it is VERY difficult to pry someone addicted to drugs AND an abusive mate away from either. Super frustrating for friends and family who care, and try to intervene. Frightening and stressful beyond belief. Yes, it is clear there were problems between Mom & HP, but still love.

Her mother stated that she and Hayden‘s father had been trying hard to get this creep away from her. They said he was enabling her (drug and alcohol use?). I can totally believe that. It’s always interesting when someone defend an abuser who even himself admits he is an abuser. I said it’s strange that he was on the scene at the time of her death. And clearly somebody in law-enforcement found it odd that his own brother was extremely emotional while the abuser was not.
