I do think eventually @ofstednews.bsky.social or @bphillipsonmp.bsky.social are going to have to say something about the risks around safeguarding that schools, the DfE and Ofsted themselves are running by remaining on Twitter when it is generating CSAM.

🌿 Take Me Outside Day! 🌿

What an incredible day of outdoor learning with our high school freshmen! We spent the morning exploring our school’s nature trail — surveying habitats, sketching observations, and collecting evidence of local wildlife.
Students found signs of white-tailed deer, including scat, tracks, and food sources like acorns. But the discoveries didn’t stop there — we also found a small mammal skeleton (which led to a great discussion about carnivorous teeth!), two snake skins, a kingfisher, and even a monarch butterfly! 🦋🐍🦴
It was such a joy to see students so engaged — curious, observant, and full of wonder — as they learned more about the ecosystems right on our campus.

Experiences like this remind us how powerful outdoor education can be.

Southern Mountains of NC! We spent the day splashing through cold, clear streams, flipping rocks, and spotting salamanders in one of North Carolina’s beautiful state parks. 🦎 Handled wildlife with care—wet, clean and gentle hands.* *See Alt text for disclaimer. #Outdoorlearning
A collage of 8 photos from a forest adventure with my boys. In one, my youngest is holding bright pink binoculars up to his face (the wrong way around). In others, we’re exploring a cool mountain stream—flipping over rocks, holding a tiny black speckled salamander, and carefully stepping across mossy boulders. I'm wearing a teal shirt and shorts with a backpack, helping the boys balance and kneel by the water. My older son is in a greenish-blue shirt and khaki shorts, engrossed in the moment. The forest around us is full of tall trees and dappled light, and the water is clear with golden pebbles beneath the surface. Everything felt calm, wild, and full of discovery.

🦎DISCLAIMER: We handled the salamander with extreme care—only after washing our hands in the cool stream to remove any oils, sunscreen, or soap residue. Amphibians like salamanders have very sensitive, porous skin that can easily be harmed by chemicals or the natural oils on human hands. In general, it’s best to observe them without touching. We made sure to limit contact, keep our hands wet, and return it gently to its home right away. Always admire wildlife respectfully and responsibly! Two side-by-side shots of me and my older son out in a forest stream. He’s standing tall on a big rock, holding a leafy branch and looking up at the trees in the first photo. I’m crouched nearby, watching the water in search for rocks. In the second, he’s tossing the branch into the stream while I grab the back of his shirt to steady him from falling off the mossy boulder as my gaze doesn't leave the rocks below. We’re surrounded by lush green trees, crystal-clear water, and that kind of peaceful quiet you only get deep in the woods.
