Following the @nytimes.com story on homeownership and births, the market itself. Home purchase loans fell 35% from 2021 to 2025, to about 2.87M. In 2025 White borrowers gained 79,000 loans, others lost 40,000. ncrc.org/mortgage-mar...

The authors put the effect at about 10 percent of the rise in annual births. They also say supply is the big difference from today. Prices stayed roughly flat after the war as supply expanded.

Artifacts work in Claude Code now, not just Claude AI. I only came across it in the past week. You stay in the terminal and get a link to the finished thing. A chart, a deck, a flow chart for a report. Look at it, tell it what to fix, it updates live.

Look for the simple change you can advocate for, delivery companies made a small change to their UX and it led to millions more for 'deliveristas'. Something most developers would probably not ever have thought to do, make the option to tip more prominant.

Same idea gets more useful at scale. One person's notes are a journal. A team's shared notes start to look like an actual map of where the work stands, at the individual, team, and organizational level.

The value isn't storage, it's shape. Once enough is captured, you can actually see the shape of the work: what's active, what's stalled, who's carrying what. That's usually the hardest thing to keep track of by memory alone.

Figured out how to add a shortcut to my ios so I can use my phone to save notes to my vault that I need to act one when I get to my computer. Eventually agents will pull right from reminders and other tools on yourphone but for now that is a real limitation.

Seeing that Obsidian is nothing more than a pretty GUI over a folder of .md files sitting on my computer I wonder at the need for obsidian itself? I mean, any AI user can simply create a folder and tell their agents to store memories there.

My workflow is moving further from Claude AI over time to Claude Code, I wonder if this is normal. Shifting to using Obsidian Vault to store memories and decisions lets me free myself of the Claude Project structure.
