O what a pleasure to teach at Sussex University today, and a chance for this landlocked midlander to see the sea from the new house of old friends 🥲
Sunset over the sea. The sky is light blue fading to a bright red at the horizon. Dark clouds stream the sky. In the foreground the beach is a dark silhouette, the upright pillars of a ground like a fence across the beach. Marina car park at St Leonard's, Sussex, late on a winters afternoon. The sea and sky are blue, just starting to shade orange, and some fluffy evening clouds are in the sky.

#HowIUsedGISToday Great geographical (secondary)data collection today with Y14s. We used AGOL to familiarise ourselves with prior lava fields, then used this graph to find satellite images of each lava flow. Must all data collection be primary? Is remote sensed data collection still fieldwork?
