Cereza and the Lost Demon has one of my favorite art styles in a game with one of the clunkiest control schemes I’ve ever witnessed. The game’s storyline did give us Bayonetta’s origin story, I really feel like I wouldn’t’ve missed out on much if I skipped this and just played the trilogy. 5/10

Like??? My neighbor and I talked about this during the direct; they made entirely new assets only to NOT WRITE A NEW DAMN STORY!!! They coulda just written a whole new game while still giving us the same reasons to buy that the remake does. (Online multiplayer, exclusive cutscenes, loredumps, etc.)

You know the boss fight is good when you’re angrier at the runback than the boss fight itself. (Pic related, alt text is spoilers for a boss in act 2)

The Clockwork Dancers boss fight is so good, I love a gimmicky boss fight in my difficult-ass metroidvania. Tbf I also LOVE No Straight Roads, a game built entirely around the fact that the bosses’ attacks are on-rhythm, so yeah. I’m not even mad that I fucked up the timing, I’m more mad at the runback with four different instances of hard-to-avoid enemies, two of them being mini-boss style enemies. (The two Grand Reeds before the actual boss room)
