One that I look at a lot is one in Magic’s Modern format called Lantern Control; A deck that controls the opponents’ draw so that they can’t make any meaningful plays. The point was not to win, it was to prevent the game of Magic from being played. (Alts explain the purpose of each card)

Lantern was used to gain perfect information on the opponents’ hand and draws, and shuffled the deck in corner-cases

Codex Shredder, Pyxis of Pandemonium, and Ghoulcaller’s Bell do a similar thing, make your opponent remove the top card of their deck. The same one that’s revealed off of lantern so that they don’t draw into anything good.

Ensnaring Bridge and other stun pieces are what tied this deck together. Dump your hand so they can’t attack, prevent the opponent from drawing interaction so they can’t remove it, win because they scoop. Simple.

The Clockwork Dancers boss fight is so good, I love a gimmicky boss fight in my difficult-ass metroidvania. Tbf I also LOVE No Straight Roads, a game built entirely around the fact that the bosses’ attacks are on-rhythm, so yeah. I’m not even mad that I fucked up the timing, I’m more mad at the runback with four different instances of hard-to-avoid enemies, two of them being mini-boss style enemies. (The two Grand Reeds before the actual boss room)

Had a talk with some other Zeon players in the Gundam TCG Discord and decided to swap out Gyan and Battle of Aces for GD01 Gelgoog. Although it’s a vanilla, its ability to link with any Zeon Pilot (Both Char and M’Quve are) gives it more than plenty utility, especially for an aggro build like mine.

For a TTRPG turned animated show on VRV and YT turned book series, this is the best book I’ve ever read. Highly recommend for anyone who likes modern fantasy and weird superpowers! (Although you should watch the show on YouTube first, it’s the start of the series and only 7 23-ish minute episodes)

I think this card wouldn’t be in a MODERN Lantern deck, but it may be a solid tutor for your lantern/mill rocks in a commander Lantern deck? Then again I don’t have any experience with Lantern Control as a deck, & I don’t see the 0 or the -7 being good abilities for the gameplan over other cards.

The alternate artwork of Loot, the Pathfinder, a mythic rare card found in Magic: the Gathering’s Aetherdrift set.

They are a 2/4 Legendary Creature - Beast Noble that costs 2GBR.

They have Double strike, Vigilance, and Haste along with 3 exhaust abilities.
Green exhaust adds 3 mana of any one color, blue exhaust draws you 3 cards, and red exhaust deals 3 damage to any target.
