Sanity update: The gaming PC is back. Cautious optimism is engaged since it was supposed to take a month or longer to fix (it took a week) and cost over $1k (it cost $300)... So far it runs, so we'll just hold on and see what happens.

I feel the need to caveat this because I worry it comes across more insensitive than it was ever, ever intended. If it lives and breathes, it has been eaten by someone, somewhere, at some time. I am not shaming or judging ANY peoples for doing what they need to get by. We eat sea bugs ffs.

Apparently neolithic peoples of the Andes domesticated guinea pigs to consume? How big were they?! I am so confused why that animal was the choice. (They also domesticated llamas and llama cousins but noting guinea pigs specifically at well has thrown me for a loop)

I want to just write bullshit for a while but alas, back to understanding ancient civilizations I go. The book we are using kinda sucks, and I am not allowed to use resources not contained in the "classroom" for the online course. That makes it very hard to give my classmates supported answers.

Every single one of my classes has multiple assignments due on 9/27. Every single one of my classes needs to calm down. Meteorology: One chapter to go + labs, then the exam. Anthropology: a little reading, a reflection paper and a quiz World Civ: 2 chapters, 2 reflections, discussion board posts.

I think my biggest goal with my witches in #mudwallow is that as the world opens up from that one village there can be so many influences. There is no way a witch in Louisiana isn't going to have Cajun or Creole influence, for example. I want the witches to respectfully reflect their environments.1/

I’m highly suspicious by they’re able to repair my laptop for $300 including a new motherboard. I’ll take it though! Sadly it will be a month or so to even get it repaired but better than trying to cobble together 2-3k for a whole new rig.

It is easy to feel very defeated right now. I did surprise myself with a good grade on my meteorology lab though so if you need the local surface observation maps read I am apparently your girl. Don't ask for a forecast though I am still unwise in the ways.
