Here's Finnegan, my service dog in training for when Cooper retires. Finnegan is 11 months old and is an absolute chaos monkey, so we're not sure if he's going to make it through the training. He's a sweet boy so we will love him no matter what.

My pictures aren't as good because I had a potato for a camera, but this is about two miles from my house. They were nesting in that old tree for several years until it fell in a storm. I still see them all the time. Or their offspring, I don't know. They're all over the place here.

We had a rousing game of fetch out in the desert this morning. Are they tired? Yes. Will Finnegan still be his over-energized chaotic self? More than likely. At least they're both relaxed right now. We had to stop at McDonalds and get them an ice water since I forgot the dog water bottle at home. 😅

Finnegan says hi. We went to do some errands and his favorite place to ride is leaning on the center console so he can look out of the front window. He is getting really big! He's lying on the back seat with his elbows on the console. There's a cushion in the footwell that he can lay across.

We put a long leash on Finn when we go out to the open space park to play fetch, so I can catch him if needed (he's been pretty good). But... this is why, when you have your 70 pound puppy on a 50-foot leash, you don't grab the rope when he's running. You step on it. Ooops. 😅

7 pens, cleaned and drying. 3 more to go that I found in a case after I put everything away. Ooops. I'm going to try to just keep 3-4 pens inked per month and then switch out. I had WAY too many pens inked because I was testing out pens and/or ink. Now I have the pens and (most of) the ink I want.

I have the weirdest dog. Finn, in his crate for the night, is sleeping with his Snuggle Puppy on his face. Still there even after he rolled over in to his normal sleeping position… feet up in the air.

Cats: Loki, 7 years old, giant marshmallow of a cat with a sock fetish Freya, 7 years old, Loki's littermate and the sweetest cat I've ever known Oreo, 2 years old, he's my little neurospicy weirdo. "That boy ain't right." He's adorable and sweet but I have no idea what goes on in that head.

Loki, a black and white short haired cat with gold eyes. He is a lorge cat, probably about 14-15 pounds. He is buried in a pile of socks fresh from the dryer. This is his favorite place in the entire world. SPECIFICALLY socks.

Freya, a beautiful black cat with green-gold eyes, She has white whiskers and eyebrows, and a teeny little stripe of white on her chest. She also has a white spot on her belly. She's about 11 or so pounds.

Oreo, my tuxedo cat. He's a tiny little guy, about 6-ish pounds. He is lying upside down in a hammock on the cat bed, his head draped over one side and his right rear foot sticking up in the air. You'd think I caught him mid-bath or something, but no. He had been there in that position for at least 5 minutes. I'm not sure why, because I'm not sure why this cat does anything.

I'm posting my dogs here because I talk about them a lot. Pixel: 14 year old Border Collie. Retired service dog Cooper: 6 year old Goldendoodle. Service dog Flint: 4-year-old Border Collie. Husband's buddy. Finnegan: 10 month old Standard Poodle. Service dog candidate.

Pixel, a 14-year-old Border Collie. She is laying flat on her belly with her head resting on the bed and slightly over the edge. She doesn't have the "traditional" border collie markings, she has just a bit of white by her nose (and white feet/legs). She has beautiful amber eyes. Her face is graying on her cheeks and around her eyes. She is 100% a puppy in an old lady suit.

Cooper the Goldendoodle. Cooper is 50% Standard Poodle and 50% Golden Retriever. He is a very light cream color, almost white. In this picture he is standing next to the rear door of the car waiting for me to open it so he can get in. He's fresh from the groomer, with a poodle haircut (with straight hair instead of curly). He has a big poof of hair for his topknot, long ear hair, and a "mustache." He has pompon on his legs, and a majestic long flowing tail. He looks very much like a sturdy poodle with straight hair.

Flint the 4-year-old Border Collie. We are in the vet's office and he is looking up at me with his usual intense stare with his golden eyes. His markings are mostly "traditional" Border Collie markings. "Earnest" is a great way to describe him and the way he looks at you.

Finnegan the 10-month old Standard Poodle. He is cream colored with a poodle haircut, with a mustache (that we have since shaved off because he is a messy boy), pompons, and a poofy topknot. His ears are shaved. If you think you see more than a hint of mischief in his eyes, you are correct, this boy is hell on wheels. I don't care how adorable he is. He is 70 pounds of solid poodle. He is sweet and loving and a complete velcro dog. He is also a maniac.

Flint the Border Collie. He is in the backseat of a car with his face sticking out of a window that is mostly rolled down. We're driving about 20mph in this picture, just enough so all the smells blow right into his nose but not fast enough that I need to worry about stuff getting in his eyes.
