Thoughts. Truly don't want to take any joy from those celebrating, but my biggest desire atp is to get back to a place where I am fully unaware of anything to do with current 616. I don't think there is anything that can be done to salvage 616 Spidey & co. for me until some serious retcons happen.

Incredibly long-winded and rambling thoughts on current MCU shit. At the end of the day, things are different for a dozen different reasons. Some movies will do well, some won't. The important thing is to go and enjoy what you like.

Looks great! Very TASM 2, which makes sense given how awesome that suit is. Seems very close to the NWH end suit with maybe a darker blue(Could be lighting?) I do think it has the same 2 issues I have with the TASM 2 suit tho which is the belt and the torso looking very long. Neither are big deals-

A little late, but USM 19 was amazing. Richard or the suit, I suppose going full Venom was badass. I feel like things with Felicia are a bit open atm, but it seems like she didn't do all of this of her own volition, which I like a lot. I love seeing more of Mole Man and adding some more depth to-

Honestly, Spidey being roped into some plot with Mr. Negative and Scorpion that brings him up against Punisher and Hulk in the process sounds cool af. I am so, so glad we aren't fucking around with more multiverse stuff, and I pray we don't ever touch on that Venom thing lol. I'm also glad-

For the love of God, keep Zdarsky far, far away from USM. Thank you.

Ideally, to me, we'd have Tim take on his own identity, even if it's just Red Robin again and go off with Steph more independently much like Dick. Then we'd either have Damian or I even really like the Maps Robin idea. Unfortunately, mfs really seem to love Tim Robin. Again, far from the biggest-

Not a ton of huge new stuff here. But, Immortal Legend is definitely wild and feels very right for Higgins. Stoked to see Scarecrow in Second Knight. Absolute Batman- just a constant fuck yes. I like Fraction seemingly really focusing on territory and gangs in his Gotham. I also like that there-

Feel like they're still being vague about this. I can't imagine this is really the end of USM, especially if the other books aren't ending. They even say 24 creates a roadmap for the future. Feel like this is just a big goodbye to Hickman, and then we relaunch. You know how Marvel likes to milk-

Gotta give Marvel a W here. I've said before, but outside of Spidey, the cosmic stuff is my shit. My favorite corner of Marvel, & I love cosmic sci-fi in general. This all looks exceptionally promising & could be up there with Annihilation & DnA. (Gonna be sad af when it's all canned at 10 issues)

God. CBM discourse on Twitter is fucking awful. Why do you, a supposedly self-respecting human being, give a fuck about RT scores? About comparing Superman and F4? About how much money something is making for megacorporations? About the opinions of everyone else? About what video essayists say?-

Star Wars gaming in general needs to get it together. While I think most recent releases have been very strong namely Outlaws and the Jedi games there has been little else. Seems like Battlefront is dead again. Eclipse and KOTOR remake are in dev hell awaiting mercy. You've had some canned projects-

Pretty gutted that Outlaws 2 apparently got the axe, but I can't say I'm surprised. I loved Outlaws, but it had such an uphill battle between POS SW people to POS gamers to general bad vibes of Ubisoft. It'll always be a game I cherish for what it did give. With a novel coming, I hope this isn't-

Also appreciate Snyder saying Selina stole from vacant apartments specifically and to escape her upbringing. It's very classic Selina and seems to indicate this Selina has no interest in harming anyone, she's just trying to have a better life and that is so much of the core of her. Love it.

Tyler @geekcollective.bsky.social · 24/07/2025

Snyder is clearly much more interested in Bruce and Selina in the AU than he was in the mainline. Given all he's said, it seems like he wants to pursue that road a fair bit and he looks at this Bruce differently than mainline in terms of what he wants. And we know he doesn't think of mainline as-

Incredible that Marvel Comics has 3 offices. Mutants. Spidey. MCU synergy. And then like one or two stragglers with a small desk near the exit door for easy clean up. It fucking sucks that any little bit of variety we get is either one-shots or minis (often tie-ins) like hey White Tiger! Oh it's-

I do not want The Batman to be integrated into the DCU. Reeves is doing his own thing and should be left to it. He is going much more into the dark, criminal thriller side. Gimme a different Batman actually made for the DCU that taps into the Batfam and the more wacky elements of the mythos.

I've said it a ton, but since it's a topic again, why not. I find the idea of Bruce not being able to heal or to love or be happy incredibly reductive, and somewhat insulting to many bat characters. It minimizes the impact and importance of Alfred, who raised Bruce after his parents. That loving-
