It's adverse to martyrdom. Capitalists cannot claim martyrdom with events that never happened. It also slowly chokes the elite, hence the phasing out of landlords. Their fate is algorithmic, and retaliation only speeds up the process. If one landlord loses properties in bulk, others lose tenants.
