What you need to understand is nothing we built was “off the shelf.” Store-bought environmental assets for stop-motion features do not exist. We were given concept art and told “make it look like this.” Everything you see here, down to the dirt and moss, was meticulously designed and crafted.

Pictured: ten seconds before drama. Walking the little man and a dog hopped the fence to get at us. Thankfully, they were not aggressive, just over curious, I was able to get mister man up off the ground, and also other dog’s mom was RIGHT on his heels to get him away and back to his yard.

Did not realize how fucked up I still was from the multiple flooded basements this spring until I heard the storm rolling in as soon as the sun went down. The new pump has worked fine, I don’t think we’re supposed to get all that much rain, but man alive am I anxious about it.

Love to watch wheel of fortune on a local tv channel, so I can see the local ads, like the lawn company with the slogan “high on grass”, the shitty green screen Jungle Law firm, and the company that uses Malarkey in a rhyme in their jingle. Local ads, truly lost in the streaming shuffle.

Bless dad for agreeing to go to overdesigned sushi place for lunch. I know for a fact he’s had chicken katsu before but he was both surprised and pleased to try it again.

A plate of sushi that has frankly too many things on it. Avocado, salmon, tuna, tempura shrimp… there’s definitely other things too, I have forgotten. It was delicious, though.

Dad’s lunch. Chicken katsu, fried rice, the most mayonnaise forward coleslaw we’ve ever seen, and a salad.
