I can't think when i've seen it done right. Nobody ever has records on open shelving, they're always in ancient bankers boxes. The shitty ones. Never use those. You don't see them being signed out, chain of custody on them is going to be for shit. Bad colour coding.

I was going down the stairs at work and i suddenly, without warning, remembered that i exist. As you might imagine this was a terrible shock for me. I might need to go lie down.

My bullfrog is redecorating his enclosure. He does this sometimes. Today he and i differ as to which way his cork bark hide should face, and african bullfrogs are really big and have very strong legs, so i'll just be sitting here and then i'll see this big half round of cork wander.

Stanhill, Lancashire, 1764. Weaver and Carpenter James Hargreaves invents the Spinning Jenny, the first practical spinning-frame, to make the tedious task of producing cloth a little bit faster. He doesn't know it yet, but this will destroy the world.

Spurred by inventions like his, the industrial revolution will transform everything -- work power, the wealth of nations. Society as we know it began here, and it wasn't great for everyone. But a group of weavers and textile workers saw this future coming. And did their best to prevent it.

A few years ago i went for a walk around Mud Lake, which is a conservation area in Ottawa. Wood ducks nest there, which is pretty great but that's not why I'm remarking...though i will add there was a mallard that just decided she was going to follow me around for a while, which was neat.

Thought i saw a bald eagle on my lunchbreak, but as it got closer it turned out to be a raven carrying something white and vaguely head shaped in its' beak. Which is pretty good too, when you think about it.

Cool thing about keeping reptiles and amphibians is sometimes you wind up placing orders for live insects and squeezy package things of a roach and fruit puree for delivery to your house.

Pro tip; wear gloves if you're staining wood, cause other wise you will use a shitload of rubbing alcohol swabs to get that off your fingers and then your wife will see them in the wastebasket and ask if you are okay in frightened tones. Not that i'm speaking from experience. Just heard tell.

I think i can count on one hand the number of times i have made a non weird pastry dough that has the correct hydration. Weird crusts are fine for some reason. If it has like cheese or poppy seeds or a blend of flours and some olive oil we're golden, but normal pastry eludes me.

Hit me today that i could roll up a vampire the masquerade character who ocassionally loses his grip on modern english and starts speaking with like a Shakespeare original pronunciation accent. Brilliant idea. On an unrelated note nobody will play vampire the masquerade with me.

I say to myself "i have no obligations or responsibilities for the next bit, i think i'll play my dulcimer". Exact moment i get my tuner app open somebody rolls down the street with their stereo turned up way beyond a sensible level. So, interesting to note, the app can pick that up.

Okay, so. Sometimes you get file folders with foldy metal prongs. The idea, you see, is that you hole punch the paper and then put the prongs through the hole(s) . I reccomend doing that. Bit of professional advice for you, there.
