It's hard to sell people useless junk and make them look away from environmental destruction when those people are connected and happy.

A year or two ago I created a D&D character and wrote up a backstory and the DM was really impressed that I hadn’t used ChatGPT. Lol

Despite the first one looking nicer, I think the second one will grab more attention. Can you do A/B testing with them on YouTube?

comic panel meme showing Spider-Man lying flat on his back on the floor, looking up. A thought bubble above him reads: "THAT PAINTING LOOKS THE WAY I FEEL!"

In the upper-right corner of the panel is an inset classical oil painting of a woman lying pale and completely exhausted in bed under heavy blankets, staring blankly upward.

Ooo, they will probably like the How Does It Grow stuff. My wife has some Irish ancestry, maybe we can connect with that too. Thanks for the suggestions!

Have any suggestions? (My kids are 6 to 12 years old; I’m not sure how old yours are) I show them things from the science/education channels I watch, but I don’t have any go to sources for kids stuff

If anyone tries to tell you that people with free healthcare take unfair advantage of it remind them that the hassle of Going To The Doctor is more than enough deterrent against the misuse of resources, and often a deterrent against seeking care for real stuff lol

I am no longer explaining my chronic illnesses.
I'm only ominously referencing them like I'm a fantasy realm NPC dropping plot hooks:
• I am besieged by the affliction
• The ritual was successful, but it has drained me. I need time to recuperate.
• I can't do that, because of The Curse
• Dark forces are conspiring within me. I must conserve my strength to battle them.
• Unseen foes assault me. I cannot strike back with blows, but I can lessen their influence by consuming certain alchemical rites.

My wife was asked by our mutual friend if a specific pain I had mentioned a few months before was still an issue. She replied she didn’t think so since I hadn’t mentioned it. When she told me about this interaction I was like “it still bothers me every day”

Chronic illness taught me that progress isn't always doing more.

Sometimes progress is knowing when to stop.

Resting before your body forces you to.

Saying no without explaining yourself.

And finally accepting that a slower life isn't a failed one.

Just keep calling and asking if they have patient financial assistance because you don’t have any money or income, they eventually just cancel it.

It is experimental in the sense that an MRI is an experiment to see if you have certain health issues… which is literally what health insurance is there to pay for 😡

two-panel meme featuring the cartoon villain Skeletor from Masters of the Universe.

Top Panel: Skeletor is reclining comfortably on a stone ledge in Snake Mountain, looking toward the viewer with a text overlay that reads: "Being sick is illegal in United States. Medical bills are fines for that"

Bottom Panel: Skeletor is shown running away down a skeletal corridor, holding his Havoc Staff, with a text overlay at the bottom that reads: "Until we meet again"

graphic featuring text superimposed over a sketch of a tall stack of paperwork and documents.

A system that forces people with permanent disabilities to repeatedly prove the obvious is not efficient. It is wasteful, degrading, and built on distrust rather than common sense.

The ads have gotten so much worse over the last few months. Not just the quantity, but the timing of them in the video as well. I started watching videos in the Brave browser (blocks ads). The quality was low, but selecting “request desktop site” fixed that.

Make it exist first... then leave it exactly as it is because quite frankly other tasks take priority sometimes. It's already good enough and nobody will spot that tiny mistake, and the fact that you created something in the first place is already an achievement
