If OKGO videos are permitted, this question gets much much harder.

Maybe English food is a religion. Though I have my doubts, I have been told it is definitely not a cuisine.

I know it's probably just some very boring vanilla adultery but when one of these hypocrites says "biblical reasons" my mind always goes to Genesis 19:30-38.

I can't access from the cafe where I'm scrolling. Apparently they've decided you need to be filtered.

Could be anything, really. Does he have daughters? Maybe he was demonstrating Genesis 19:30-38.

I am still loving my free usage but I know I am an outlier in how I use it and the companies could never survive without lots of people getting it for awful reasons.

Mostly agree, but the folks who have called me comrade in the past did so out of a real belief that we were in something together, so we did stuff like help each other move. For them it was not an affectation, so that's just a little note.

When I was a teenager, I was walking home and saw a mass of VHS tape in the gutter, so I took it home and spliced it into my mom's daily recording of Days of Our Lives to see what it was. Turned out it was porn.

I thought USDA ordered the cuts. That's Brooke Rollins, not RFK. Are there other cuts coming from HHS too?

I agree with much of what Lipton says here, but the first sentence defines corruption differently from what either the law or common sense does.

Maybe Cabin in the Woods. Not the best SW appearance, necessarily, but a remarkable film.

This case is so fucking infuriating. She is being punished for killing her rapist. She is being punished for killing a man who filmed himself raping minors. She's in prison because she killed her trafficker.

Followed this. Local to me. Recall the interlocutory appeal. Odd that petition addresses senators, but important to raise profile of this. Reskeeting.

Stupid take, sorry. VE Day is not some Russian myth. France and Israel called that Victory Day too, as do many other countries. The real myth here is that the US did more than the Soviet Union to beat Hitler. I think it's long past time we forgive them for that.

Probably so. I'm very behind on my reading already, though. I know she was really liking it. II think 'll get it and ask her for her opinion what level of priority to give it in the stack.

This person I follow on the other place keeps a running thread of Trump administration shenanigans paired with episode titles in the style of It’s Always Sunny and I think “The Gang Files a Letter” might be the funniest one yet

So, uh, it certainly looks like the Justice Department intended to file a letter to Judge Liman in MTA v.
Duffy, but...it accidentally filed a letter containing its legal advice to the Department of Transportation instead

We really don't even know for most books, do we? Maybe The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes? Alternatively, Queer in America has a very explicitly queer protagonist: it's right in the title. How about Alan Turing Decoded?

I guess, since any massive object affects the local spacetime, we can technically manipulate time and space without any technology, but then bureaucracy is powerless to stop it, so I'm not sure what the point is.

I try avoid leaping to conclusions, even obvious-seeming ones. I don't assume whether you are or not, but that's the kool-aid you've been serving on this thread, so I think a reference to "your side" fits regardless. But honestly, this has grown pretty tiresome. Not willing to pursue.

So your logic is, "Some people must be fascists because I assume they agreed with me about what the election meant, and if they don't agree, then they're also fascist." Here's another thought: maybe that kind of arrogant garbage is part of why you didn't win.

I saw Oliver's segment and he made a point very early about how this obsession has seized the right. It's a difficult question for me how much attention trans issues should get. When the right picks a scapegoat, you NEED to respond, but you also don't want to be solely reactive and cede the agenda.

That isn't me, I'm too much of a coward for quite that degree of commitment, but perhaps you can offer a constructive action for me to take that would not involve my dying. I'm a lawyer who's had some First Amendment practice, if that helps.

At common law there was a privilege to assault an officer engaged in unlawful arrest (or this, I think). In our state, the Supreme Court released one guy on this ground and then abrogated the privilege for everyone else.

It's like a questionnaire from an alien: "Please list the names of all of the biological mothers of your daughter, including yourself. State the genetic contribution of each, making sure that they total 33%." (They got some wild trisexual polyamory on Kepler 22b.)
