I’m looking for weird fiction, literary horror and speculative fiction, novels unafraid to cross genre boundaries and difficult to categorise, that have a strong sense of place, and that linger in the mind long after you’ve finished reading. Fiction that surprises and challenges.

If you’re an agent with a manuscript you think might be a good fit for what we do, I’d love to see it – please get in touch! I’m looking forward to reading.

With that in mind, I’m actively looking again for submissions for Influx Press, now an imprint of Diversion Books. For our new list I’m interested in books that take risks – fiction with ambition, originality and the kind of distinctive voice Influx has become known for.

The best part of my job has always been discovering a writer whose work makes me stop and think 'I’ve never read anything like this'. That thrill of discovery has always been the best part of being an acquisitions editor.
