I’m looking for weird fiction, literary horror and speculative fiction, novels unafraid to cross genre boundaries and difficult to categorise, that have a strong sense of place, and that linger in the mind long after you’ve finished reading. Fiction that surprises and challenges.

The best part of my job has always been discovering a writer whose work makes me stop and think 'I’ve never read anything like this'. That thrill of discovery has always been the best part of being an acquisitions editor.

As you may know, @influxpress.bsky.social is now continuing as an imprint of @diversionbooks.bsky.social. I'm staying on in a new role as acquisitions editor, currently digging deep into the submissions pile looking for titles for our new list. Watch this space as there is exciting stuff coming!
