I wonder if LLM and generative AI chatbots are being pushed to have long-winded responses to drive up token usage and thus drive up billing costs for the customer. Why use few words when many will be added to the context window and change the token usage, and generate more revenue?

I remember when I got my first flash drive. 16MB. It was enough for a few docs or a single old PowerPoint. Fast forward to now, and my phone has 128GB storage. My computer has 1TB storage. And new computers can have upwards of 246GB of RAM The amount of progress is truly astonishing.

The concept of renaming New Mexico to New America when New Mexico as a territory of any kind existed in name before the United States were founded… NM was first by about 200 years. First established as “Santa Fe de Nuevo México” in 1598. He can get bent.

FedEx delivered a medication package to the wrong address... in my attempts to track it down, I wondered "the photo of the delivery might have location metadata", so I checked and unfortunately it seems that FedEx strips the EXIF data. Could be super useful to help track down lost packages otherwise

Speed cameras are a fine idea and all for enforcing speed limits, but they don’t really do much if the authorities don’t ticket and prosecute people without plates. There is a huge portion of the Abq metro area that just straight up don’t have license plates, so they can’t be caught.

Possible unpopular opinion but I think the punishments for traffic violations should be way more severe. I saw a truck speed through a turn yesterday and almost hit a pedestrian who had the right of way. A $100 ticket won’t deter someone from doing something reckless and dangerous. Jail time might.

I keep my trash can under my desk. The desk is open on both sides, so the trash is accessible on either side of the desk. The cleaning crew never puts the trash back in that spot, they always move it to by the door after collecting the trash. It’s a minor annoyance. Why not put it back??
