Day 5 - Desert Level: Dead Dunes, Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII The whole FFXIII trilogy has outstanding music, but the OST of Lightning Returns aptly injects a bit of chaos into the score, mirroring the game's entropic race against the clock as the world breaks down around you.

Day 4 - Dance-Off!: A, Dance Dance Revolution Extreme Maybe not one of my favorite tracks to listen to, but definitely the perfect song for a dance game. I used to play DDR so much and this was always the most fun stage for me.

Day 3 - Fighting Game: Menu (Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy) Not a traditional pick, especially since it's not even a battle theme, but the main menu theme from Duodecim is so nostalgic and iconic to me.

Day 1 - Title Theme: Alicia (Clair Obscur: Expedition 33) This game has a phenomenal soundtrack from the moment it loads and I doubt it'll be the only track I end up using this month. The pervasive tinge of sorrow beneath the beautiful, ethereal vocals perfectly captures the essence of the game.

The Zelda Direct was a bit of a miss for me. No real new major info but a concert tour is cool. Loled at Miyamoto announcing the movie release date seconds before the release date teaser video they showed. OoT looks amazing, love the doll-like Y. Link face, but disappointed that it seems 1-to-1.

Grayscale Varia suit Samus on a black background with white text saying "'Every metroid has its prime.' -John Metroid"

A construction worker wearing a bright yellow hi-vis jacket, holding a diamond shaped orange construction sign that says "shits fucked ahead" and he's pointing behind him

Fox Mulder from X Files, leaning against a wall with one hand. The text is pink and purple and it says "Hey girl, are u a CRYPTID? cuz I believe in you"

Matthew Lillard as Shaggy from the 2002 Scooby Doo movie, he's sitting in a director chair with the Mystery Machine behind him, and some other prop that I can't tell what it is. It looks like he's doing a talking head for behind the scenes about the movie.

The text says "I don't actually remember working, once I clocked in I would blackout as the spirit of customer service possessed my mortal body once again."

The sun is rising over green fields and hills, and in the bottom left you can see some yellow flowers. It looks like the setting for the kids’ TV show Teletybbies, popular at least in the UK in the 1990s.

In desperate need of an "at work" game for lulls and can't find anything that fits the bill. Recent examples are Slay the Spire, Hades 2, and Balatro. - Can pause anywhere - Not story heavy or mechanically complex - Not visually intense (I stare at screens all day) - On Steam Deck or Switch 2
