I'm not super excited about blurry 50 fps gaming where it takes your $3000 gpu several frames to converge light into a discernible picture. I love how great games got to look but the tradeoffs we took aren't very good imo We need nice baked GI again that runs on a laptop you found behind a dumpster

After I replace the sticky tape holding the cassette head with actual M2 screws, next step is to try a few different ways of coating the disc in oxide.

3D printed CD spinner, a squat black rectangular shelf supports an axle with a clear disc mounted on the end. A blue truss tower attached to the same base plate holds aloft an adjustable arm with a cassette head taped to the end of it. The cassette head is positioned over the clear disc.

Learning to write software is a gateway to incredible creative power that incurs no materials or external services costs, and there is a LOT of money going into trying to convince you otherwise. They want you to assume you have to pay them to accomplish anything, or else your ideas will languish.

Quite a bit sturdier with card brackets

Backplane connected to GameTank console with 3D printed baseplate on backplane and printed brackets on the two cards. Two devices are plugged in to the cards, one with a green plug and one with purple. One of the LEDs on yhe cards is lit.

second try at a PCB for the PS/2 adapter. notably, it abandons the daisy-chained DB26 connectors but also incorporates fixes that will hopefully make the multiplexing scheme work. also also this version is two layers so I can get the board faster

I think I'm gonna have to write a simulator library that generates PS/2 messages from SDL input events. And importantly it has to fail accurately because the adapter does *not* abstract out the packet timing
