Games played in February. Being sick for a week really put a hamper on my game playing this month … except Ark Nova on BGA, that I still managed to do. @bgstatsapp.bsky.social #boardgames

For just a half a second I forgot what Galactus looked like and for some reason all I could see was a robot with a giant head, arms raised, trying to get the Statue of Liberty’s attention. “Hey! Over here!” #fantasticfour

My graphic novel library. This year I’d like to add a bit more lighting on the shelves and put posters above the bookcases. Also more books. I always need more books. #graphicnovels

Got the newest Nightwing HC by @tomtaylormade.bsky.social … but why … WHY?!?! did they change the damn DC logo for this last one?!?! I guess Nightwing was jealous of the Vertigo size change next door. #ocd #graphicnovels

Twisters was a prequel to Twister set in a future alternate dimension. Terrible dialogue, bad acting. And I loved It. Bill … er … I mean Tyler is a great character and the rag tag crew was the reason I fell in love Twister. If you can get through the beginning it’s worth the time.

Everyone is posting their year end BG Stats and I am once again reminded that I have ADHD and even though it was my New Years Resolution last year to log all my plays on @bgstatsapp.bsky.social I only made it to February 29th. But in just 2 months I played Ark Nova 34 times… #boardgames #adhd

Nightwing has been my favorite superhero since the ‘90s. I had every single appearance in floppies thru 2007 when I had a kid. But it was @tomtaylormade.bsky.social absolutely amazing Nightwing storyline that pulled me back into DC and it is my no. 1 rec for new readers. #comics #dc #nightwing

Are you a deep or wide board gamer? Do you play a handful of games over and over or are you constantly playing new games? I think we’ve finally hit a nice balance of playing quite a few new ones but also having the opportunity to find depth by playing our favorites multiple times #boardgames

I loved Batman. Had been collecting comics for years. I was trying to complete the Batman: No Man’s Land story line in floppies. Some guys at my local comic shop, who already made me feel uncomfortable for just being a girl, asked if I had read Batman: Dark Knight Returns. I had not. 1/

Played Tapestry for the first time last night and I loved it! For some reason I had it in my head that it was a Laukat, but this was very much so a Stegmaier from @stonemaiergames.com. It’s fun when you can feel the designer’s signature in a game. #boardgames

I appreciate when companies go eco-friendly. But the biodegradable product needs to actually work. The Stonemaier bags are terrible. Maybe these are supposed to be one time use and they are working as intended. But if that’s the case, why have a resealable bags that won’t last long enough to reseal.

This new version of Survive! is great! It replaced the whales with Kaiju so now the monster can attack on water or land. One of the best moments from the game last night was when the Kaiju attacked a group of survivors and flung them right into a sea serpent to be devoured. Good times. #boardgames

I read this as “Costco Watchers is an unusual wargame.” What was actual written makes so much more sense… but now I want a war game set at Costco where factions fight over sales. I want the cover to be an older woman screaming her battle cry while holding a spatula and a purse. #moderwargames

We are one of the few game shops that do not buy or sell MtG. I like the game as a game but not the collection aspect of it. One of our neighbor card shops had been broken into 3 times in less than a year because of cards. It’s frustrating stories like these that make me happy we don’t deal with it.

Reorganized the strategy games in retail today. We had been separating games by BGG weight: Light, Medium and Heavy. We kept the Light Strategy section but combined Medium and Heavy into a section called Advanced Strategy (thanks Dice Tower for that term!) So much moving around. My feet hurt.
