Dundrennan Abbey is one of my favourite abbeys with Yorkshire connections. Founded in 1142 near Kirkcudbright, it was established by Fergus of Galloway and possibly King David I, with monks from Rievaulx Abbey. Though now mostly ruined it still reflects the austere beauty of Cistercian

We took a gorgeous wee break to Paris to recharge our batteries and to do lots and lots of reading. 🇫🇷🥐💃 We visited pretty much every bookshop and patisserie on the Left Bank. And we spent a champagne fuelled evening at the Moulin Rouge….. but you’ll need to pop by the shop to hear THAT tale 🇫🇷
