I have only just spotted this post from Robin and it has truly moved me. Get It Loud In Libraries was designed to transform young people's lives by great live music and aligned creative opportunities - so advocacy like this is hugely gratifying. Libraries matter very much, and deserve support.

It was truly incredible, and Get it Loud in Libraries was life-changing for me as a teenager. I got to see so many incredible bands in my home town because of them!

Self Esteem Glastonbury. One of the most exultant performances, worthy of the original spirit of the festival. Flavours of Kate Bush, Madonna & Laurie Anderson. But neverending originality of Rebecca Lucy Taylor. So proud to have worked with her @loudinlibraries.bsky.social more than any other.

Katy J Pearson sure knows how to navigate a proper pop song. Hooks and melody aplenty. And always grateful she kickstarted @loudinlibraries.bsky.social post lockdown with our first socially distanced gig in Widnes Library #Glastonbury

Announcing a cool couple of back to back shows for @loudinlibraries.bsky.social with the brilliant new talent from Manchester - Better Joy. For fans of Wolf Alice, The Cure and those who love a jangly chorus and hook- ridden riffs. More great new indie pop chiming in the book stacks for all ages.

Enjoyed the Wolf Alice interview in the Guardian yesterday& pretty fuzzy that they were 'buzzed about 20 people turning up to a gig in Leicester'. But I do wonder if they meant Lancaster or Liverpool (Libraries) as they were quite unknown when we put them on @loudinlibraries.bsky.social back in 2013

Florence And The Machine at Lancaster Library in 2008 thanks to the amazing @loudinlibraries.bsky.social 😍 Here’s a photo of Florence I took

Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine holding a Green Day book open. She’s wearing a white dress which has long sleeves with lace inserts. On her face is gold glitter. She wears her finger hair down.

One thing about working in an indie bookstore is that I see how thin their margins are. Always shop locally when you can. Keep local businesses alive, and keep the money in your community.

Back in the day. Fifteen years ago. When clip art posters mocked up by the library ladies 'in the back' would be perfectly acceptable for the likes of Ellie Goulding. And nine quid was pretty steep for us at the time @loudinlibraries.bsky.social
