Folks, George Lucas did not hand anyone at Disney or Lucasfilm an "outline" or a "treatment" and definitely not "scripts" for a Star Wars sequel trilogy before he left. He gave them about a dozen sentences, then ran away with his billions. And I need this fandom to accept that reality.

My Star Wars prediction is that New Jedi Order series of movies will be written and directed by the same team... all of whom have worked together before on a massively successful franchise. So, probably Jon Watts, Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers.

It was 16 years between the end of the OT and the start of the PT. 10.5 years between the end of the PT and the start of the ST. Right now, we're closing in on 7 years since the end of the ST. Starfighter is going to be the first movie continuing that era. We're getting closer.

If you think the company that didn't "course correct" by "erasing the PT" as every fake insider guaranteed, Disney/Lucasfilm is definitely not doing it to the ST when the current leadership was heavily involved in shaping it. If Disney wanted to do that, they'd have punted Filoni, not promoted him.

My prediction for the future of Star Wars: 1. A "new trilogy" will feature a new cast, but like the ST, will give the 3 former series leads a movie to be featured as secondary leads. 2. Ben Solo will return. 3. Grogu will be in the NJO. 4. Force ghosts will do more than they've ever done.

Also a particularly terrible taste is left by the implication that he thinks his "friends" characters were less important. Like I still feel for the backlash he delt with but it certainly feels as if he thinks what Daisy or Kelly went through for playing Rey and Rose was somehow warranted.

That’s always been my thing as well: whatever role Tava may have in the comics or beyond, Ben’s focus always will be on Rey as his equal in the Dyad, and that’s where he ultimately ended up with in the end.
