Bird of Prey (Samus Aran from Metroid Ravenous)

Digital painting portraying the Nintendo character Samus Aran, from the Metroid series, as a ravenous creature on top of a totem.
Samus, a woman wearing a full futuristic space suit with giant round shoulders and an arm canom, crouches on top of a totem while holding a pink flame with a off-putting bird claw shaped hand. Her arm canom on the other hand oozes a yellow substance. She looks at the camera like she has just noticed us.

I don't gaf about Hasan Piker, but worst thing he's ever said is that "America deserved 9/11" thing bc ppl just parrot it and instead of meaning: "Idk what the US expected to happen after creating so much resentment towards them in SEA." They just mean: "Glad your dad died on 9/11!! #deserved"

hello bsky I hate to do this again and its no longer a trendy queer or disability pride month time to ask but I've got about negative $300 in my balance and bills, bills, bills to pay. ko-fi venmo and cashapp links are available on my website sylveon.gay -- any cent is appreciated, thank you so much

It's such a funny idea, because it somehow implies women's leagues/sports are on equal footing to the men's leagues in terms of coverage, budget, and whatever else. We didn't have women's soccer until the, like, 2010's? And not one mainstream outlet covered the Women's World Cup either.

Skyth (one of the devs on Unleashed Recompiled) put it best imo. I just wish they didn't deactivate their account because this thread is really good.

A thread from @skyth.bsky.social saying

the argument for vibecoded recomps are silly. it took us 3 weeks to have unleashed recomp playable without using any Al. I coded xenonrecomp in like 2 weeks. the repetitive part where the Al can *potentially" save you time is actually the easiest part. making the game an actual PC port is way harder

90% of the 6 months of development time was spent on making the game into something people would actually want to play. which involved long discussions in the team about what features to add, how to implement them, profiling and optimizing everything, testing them, etc. Al ain't helping anyone here.

this work was NEVER repetitive. there was no time to potentially save with Al. it was constant series of unique problems to solve. all of which we solved and coded ourselves, so that we could maintain the code and take responsibility if some issues appeared from it. why risk further issues with Al?

it sucks that so many of these quick hackjob recomps are releasing, which don't do anything beyond getting the game running. that's not the point!! imagine if we released unleashed recomp like that?
good recomps are getting made. they are just not boasting about it. you'll know when you see them.

just wanted to rant. i'll probably delete these posts after a while since I'm trying not to use social media. but I'm really frustated by Al ruining everything.

Watched Fnaf 2 and Scary Movie 6 today, can we just call it quits on everything for a while? Until I get my bearings at least... Fnaf 2 - 3/10 ⟩ Please hire a screenwriter, animatronics still dope as hell. Scary Movie 6 - 5/10 ⟩ Never make one of these again, Wayans, I beg of you. Act 3 ok, idk...

I’d someday like to go more into how even as a het queer person I find this kind of messaging deeply threatening. There is no “straightness” except in contrast to queerness, and that contrast is most expressed as the violent alienation of queer people from popular definitions of humanity.
