Vegetarian orange chicken isn't that hard to make. Here's our recipe for the entire dish, including our mock chicken recipe.

Seitan Mock Chicken:

2 cup vital wheat gluten

¾ cup chickpea flour

1 cup all-purpose flour

¼ tsp cardamom powder

1 tsp msg powder

½ tsp paprika

1 TBS chickenless bouillon paste

½ teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ tsp coriander

¼ tsp white pepper

¼ tsp black pepper

½ tsp celery salt

¼ teaspoon salt

1 TBS soy sauce

1 tsp mirin

½ tsp sesame oil

⅔ cup water

1. Add about an inch of water to a pot with a steamer basket and bring to a light boil.

2 In the meantime, whisk together the vital wheat gluten, flour, vegetable broth powder, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt in a medium bowl.

Mix the wet ingredients.

pour them into the dry and mix to form a ball of dough.

Lightly grease the steamer basket, then tear off bite-sized pieces of the seitan dough and place them in a single layer in the steamer basket. Cover, and steam the seitan for 10 minutes.

When the seitan is done steaming, remove from the steamer and let cool until the surface becomes less shiny. From here it may be used in place of chicken in any dish, or breaded and fried as mock chicken nuggets.

Quick & Easy Vegan Orange Chicken:

Protein:

1 lb seitan or other mock chicken

¼ cup cornstarch (or sub with potato starch)

⅓ cup vegetable oil (or any neutral tasting oil (if you're Air Frying, sub with 2 tbsp of oil))

Sauce:

1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice (pulp strained (about 4-5 medium sized oranges))

2 tbsp white vinegar (or rice vinegar)

¼ cup + 2 tbsp brown sugar

2 tbsp regular soy sauce

2 cloves garlic (minced)

¼ tsp ginger powder (or sub with freshly grated ginger)

1 tbsp cornstarch (or sub with potato starch)

½ tsp red chili flakes (optional if you prefer it spicy)

In a small bowl, combine sauce ingredients. Mix well and set aside.

Make Seitan according to recipe into bite size pieces, about 1.5-inch pieces. Do not pat Seitan dry after steaming, this will allow the cornstarch to adhere.

Transfer pieces of seitan into a large bowl, followed by cornstarch. Mix to coat each piece evenly with tongs.

Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large pan on medium-high heat. Carefully lower coated seitan into the oil and quickly spread apart. Allow the pieces to sear and form a golden crust, about 5-6 minutes on each side and avoid stir-frying them. Flip Seitan over and cook on the other side until golden brown.

Remove from oil and place seitan on a paper towel lined plate to cool and drain. Pour out any excess oil from pan.

In the same pan set over medium high heat, pour sauce in. Stirring consistently until the sauce bubbles and thickens, about 2-3 minutes.

Toss in fried chicken until pieces are coated in sauce. Garnish with orange zest, sesame seeds and green onions. Serve & enjoy!

These new photos show off the patchwork skin of our likely mosaicism really well. The lighting and inflammation make it pop. All those stripes, patches and lines in our skin aren't from bruising, they're two different types of skin. You can see them in these older ones from a few months ago too.

This is an obvious editorial decision. The media is JUST as complicit in this as the fascists themselves. Many of the major outlets are directly owned by billionaire fascists themselves.

It would be nice if they could source these claims. Claims I have seen debunked in plenty of current research. Also, they're calling a test for the SRY gene a fool proof method to determine natal sex, ignoring the multiple intersex conditions that would lead presumably cis women to test positive

The working group said new evidence had prompted it to bring forward the proposal.

It said there was now evidence that testosterone suppression in DSD and transgender athletes could only ever partly mitigate the overall male advantage in the sport of athletics.

It also said that an exclusive focus on whether an athlete had been through male puberty was wrong, since “new evidence clarifies that there is already an athletically significant performance gap before the onset of puberty”.

The consultation document stated: “The childhood or pre-pubertal performance gap in the sport of athletics specifically is three to five per cent in running events, and higher in throwing and jumping events.”

Coe said the consultation was “widely held” and “exhaustive” and had received feedback from over 70 individual groups.
