KEY FEATURES. Pretense of creativity, but capricious choices and changes create instability, insecurity, and a lack of confidence. Unexpected actions catch both adherents and resisters off guard. Foolish/unreasoned decision-making. Leaders may be causing chaos due to ineptitude, or intentionally. Chaos keeps people in constant reactive mode so they are too frazzled to question the leader’s abilities and decisions, or the legitimacy and direction of the system’s processes and procedures.

LEVERAGES. Coopt individuals’ desire to make a creative impact, by suggesting creativity requires organizational unpredictability. Personal insecurities may make people susceptible to such a ruse.

REDEMPTIVE OPPOSITES. Continuity, safety and security, coherent goals and plans, detailed job descriptions, valid work assessment system, transparent organizational processes and procedures, well-reasoned filing systems. Reasonable flexibility within delineated boundaries. Common sense.
