The Vimes' "Boots" Theory can also apply to Flip-flops. I've just had to throw away a £7 pair, which I got from Primark (of all places) That have lasted me TEN whole summers. To be fair though, one was starting to fray this season. Still, that's 70p a year, cracking value.
