iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I was 19-20 then and... The music was the best we'd ever had, the housing bubble was popping, and they were concerned about social media taking over our lives. Very self absorbed time, kinda mean still, no frontal lobe kind time.

000

All that to say, that's why I'm not internetting like I used to. Not that I don't have anything to say, just as a Cassandran you learn to stop screaming eventually and just greet each new day with a sighed "I knew that would happen."

000

How much of that evil will I allow into my soul for the sake of appearing informed in a world designed to keep us uninformed? There will be another - there always is. The regime fall is imminent - it always is. In the meantime, with my finite body and infinite soul, how much is too much?

100

It extinguished the idea that I have to witness something with my own eyes to know it's true evil. To starve people is evil. To torture people is evil. To shoot fleeing people is evil. To arm yourself against the people you swore to protect is evil.

100

My heart is soft. Maybe that's a privelege I have, but like... I remember being on feed during the bombing of Rafah. I saw and heard so many things second hand that extinguished something in me. Not the empathy. Not the rage.

100

Like, with the doomscrolling, and the reading of the articles and the think pieces that give so much information purposefully San context - how much of that do you need to see to know where you stand?

Had a random thought that I didn't have any other place for. How much do you need to see to feel something?

I need someone smarter than me to write a dissertation about how Cole and Shanice from the TV sitcom Martin were autistic and/or incredibly socially progressive. I can't. For reasons.

I tend to ask then why, as an adult, do they need permission or guidance to be a good person - and then watch em spin on it.

I don’t know who these people are, but it’s well said.

If a democrat was assassinated could you imagine what would be going on right now?

michaelandwicket 12h
Yes. I can. Because it happened literally 3 months ago. And guess what? Democrats called for gun reform and right wingers made jokes about it. Trump said calling anybody to give his condolences would be a waste of time and then skipped the funeral. So we don't have to imagine. It literally just happened.
And not a single person on the left called for a war, or called for the Republican party to be labeled a domestic terrorist organization. You cared so little that you don't even remember it.

It's my preferred genre for her and a lot of the pop girlies if I'm honest - maybe I'm biased 😆

It's adorable and occultish- two of my favorite things! Did you know they have a new expansion coming next year? I'm super excited for it 😆

When I'm not able to figure things out, I can game my way through it. Gaming helps me put my life in perspective and take the time to think about why I do things.

My parents. Dad would play, mom would read the booklets and cheats, and I'd watch.

Mortal Kombat 1 (2024). I hated every single aspect of game play and the story sucked. It looked amazing, nut had no substance.

041

Horizon Zero Dawn - prior to that I don't think I really engaged with the narrative part of video gaming much.

011

Date Everything - it's so zany and fun and was my first dating Sim 😆

Columns- it's like Tetris but with chamber music.

You know one thing that really annoys me about this latest craze is that the obsession with reducing one's "biological age" is occurring in the same moment when many of the same people would rather die than consider that "biological sex" is mutable.

A longevity doctor says he reversed his biological age by 11 years.
