Midnight aside I was so so disheartened by the decision to obliterate Dalaran for basically no reason, as every NPC that matters made it out alive and nobody even cares anymore. It felt like a totally pithy deletion of an iconic foundation in the setting because it required too much explanation

Any means of dealing with Asmon that doesn't come from Blizzard is a bandaid players are applying so that the festering sore in Blizzard's games doesn't get infectious ooze on them. But it doesn't do anything for the festering sore. The treatment for that has to come from Blizzard itself.

This is actually something I've been saying for a while. Thing is... You cannot replicate that, nothing can replicate your first experiences with WoW. That's impossible, you know too much about the game, the world, the story etc. Even Forever cannot truly do this.
