Ahhhhh!!!! We somehow missed #FurryReaders too! We really enjoyed the book! Phyllida was a delight, as she just carried on with everything- “there’s a dead body in the library. Bummer. Time for tea!” She even got to have her Hercule Poirot moment at the end. Two paws up for this book!

Thanks for the great time, everyone! We have to get a nap in before daddy has to work tonight. See you all next month, for the next exciting adventure of #FurryReaders #FurryTails!

Us too! Even if for some reason we don’t make it to the discussion, we’re always glad we’ve read them. #FurryReaders #FurryTails

Speaking of that, what’s the book for next month? We want to get the audiobook for it in the hopes that it’ll entertain us as much in traffic as this one did. #FurryReaders #FurryTails

We were a little shocked by the ending. Death by anthrax injection must be a terrible way to go! #FurryReaders #FurryTails

We call it “autoincorrect.” The bane of the modern typist. #FurryReaders #FurryTails

It did sound really good! We were hoping that Wolfe might have learned to appreciate being adventurous and trying new places because of it, but it sounds like he’s stuck in his ways. #FurryReaders #FurryTails

We thought that Nero’s eccentricities were almost funny when set against Archie’s pragmatism. Wolfe being the smartest guy in the room and knowing it does make him kind of annoying, though. #FurryReaders #FurryTails

We can definitely understand that. The grumpy old me actually had us hoping that they were both the next victims! #FurryReaders #FurryTails

Fantastic point! We actually looked forward to jumping in the car so we could keep listening to the audiobook. That very rarely happens! #FurryReaders #FurryTails

I think a beer would be in order, in honor of Nero Wolfe! 😉 #FurryReaders #FurryTails

We would definitely pick up another one. The dynamic between Wolfe & Archie was a lot of fun! #FurryReaders #FurryTails

We’re with you, Bendor. We had a couple of ideas, but really didn’t know the who, why or how until the end. #FurryReaders #FurryTails

As someone who had been around a cranky old bull as a cub, up at great-grandpa’s farm, we really felt for poor “Caesar!” All they would have had to do is feed him some apples to get Wolfe off the boulder. It worked when my grandma did it. 😁 #FurryReaders #FurryTails

It made being stuck in traffic bearable… pardon the pun! 🤭 #FurryReaders #FurryTails

It had some quaint 1930’s terms and slang that really helped set the timeframe. The lack of seatbelts and Wolfe holding onto “straps” as the car found its way into the tree was a pretty funny visual! #FurryReaders #FurryTails

We went with the audiobook, which made the old-timey language seem a lot more likable. #FurryReaders #FurryTails

Nero Wolfe came across as a quirky, beer-powered detective machine. Not that anything is wrong with that, I might add. 😁 #FurryReaders #FurryTails

We were a little distraught because Rodney got framed for Mr. Black’s murder, at least at first. Then we realized he really had it coming & it was the best outcome for everyone…except him. 😁 #FurryReaders #FurryTails

Did anyone have any suspicions about how Molly’s Grandma really passed? We sat with our mouths open for quite a while about that… #FurryReaders #FurryTails

We were just hoping Mrs. Black (the 2nd one) wasn’t the killer. She was so nice to Molly that we didn’t want it to be her! #FurryReaders #FurryTails

We also liked how the character names had an assigned color, that told you how good a person they were. Snow (white), Black & Gray- even if we didn’t know it at first. #FurryReaders #FurryTails

Once we got used to the way Molly thought, we really liked her & could sympathize with her. Everyone else seemed super-sketchy at first, especially Rodney!

We really did! It definitely didn’t quite end the way we thought it would. We thought we knew the characters, but wow were we wrong! #FurryReaders #FurryTails

Look at that face. I would give that face anything. Photo from my collection, ca. 1940s.

Black and white photo of a ginger tuxedo tabby sitting on a wooden porch or deck, looking up to the right of the camera with an expression of pleading. Very adorable cat! Wonderful face!

This little guy is a postcard from my collection that was mailed in 1908. I love him so much that I use him as my avatar for all my accounts!

Colorized photo graph of a chubby little longhaired black kitten. It’s a studio portrait and he’s sitting on green fabric with a painted backdrop with blue and white brushstrokes resembling the sky. He’s just so round and plump and looks so happy, I love him.
