Hey everyone! Me and a couple of other gals that frequented Monday Night Ride are starting up our own riding club this year! We had our first official ride two weeks ago and our next one is this thursday. WTNB centered, all welcome. We'll be meeting up weekly come may with more details to come.

Hate that this is something we needed. Cars are perhaps the worst product in the world in terms of externalities, and the only economic solution is to price in the damage they do in the cost of owning/operating. It's gonna hurt people a lot, but it's gonna be the only thing that maybe changes stuff.

Logan Square has a new Divvy station location at Armitage/Drake! As you can see, it's not a brand new station. When we upgraded a busy Printer's Row station on Monday, we brought the older station to a new home here. We're filling a gap where cycling is booming - even in the winter.

We've been taught in the US to consume and consume. It's a smart move if I was in the business of making those consumables and wanted to make a lot of money with disregard for the negative environmental and social impacts my products will have on society as a whole.

Seeing this unfold helps me to understand how a certain mindset in the US helps to make families accumulate many items over the years that give initial happiness but just sit there and take up space, time, and money to hold onto while at the same time making them financially insolvent.
